As a South African, this is what we love to see about our continent, development and more development. It should not only be about South Africa, but always about Africa. Kenya makes me proud as a South African I can easily relate to her. Love you Kenya, keep growing and shining, from ZA with ❤.

But South African finance is owned by Europeans. Kenya still has hope for indigenous people. So, not same thing. Maybe Nigeria is similar to Kenya. But South Africa - is a proxy government of the west.

@@Lisa-lt1exin Kenya it is the 44th tribe that owns the bulk of industry from factories, to pharmaceuticals etc, so pointing fingers at south Africa is hypocritical. The same is the case in Uganda. After idi amin expelled the Asians, the utterly clueless Africans crashed everything.... Museveni had to ask those expelled Asians to return. This kenyan guy is 1st class I must say, I like what he said on that he wanted to create jobs, change the way people live and attention to detail which is something Africa is not yet very good at, but this kenyan brother is leading the way for sure.

Since 80's Kenya banned concrete skyscrapers for steel and glass ones, does not approve un-Aesthetic building design. Even low cost housing estates used to be physiologically designed to make the on looker to awe, wish to live there and fear the people living there. There were some apartments designs in some rich suburbs that used to makes us stare and we would blame it on the said fact above.

I'm Kenyan, but we really have to learn to reduce our ego. Travelling will teach one that we're not all that. We think we are but we're not. Other people are quietly building their cities and infrastructures without much ado. Kenyans tunapenda kelele sana. Making noise over small things like SGR, Express highway, sijui superhighway, tallest building in East Africa, sijui ati biggest tea exporter. Basically stuff which are a norm to many people worldwide, hence we hear no noise from them. Within Africa, I've mostly explored the major cities of the Eastern and Southern parts of Africa. I've been to Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Dodoma, Kampala, Entebbe, Kigali, Luanda, Addis Ababa, Lusaka, Harare, Maputo, Maseru, Lilongwe, Blantyre, and Windhoek. Never been to Central Africa (surprisingly), unless Angola is regarded as central African country. Lagos is the only West African city I've travelled to. Having said that, this Cleophas dude is good. A big change from what I observe with Kenyan houses, most of which are usually sub-standard.

All these are new areas in Lagos where they shouldn't be making the same mistakes of the older congested areas! But they are all just busy building some fine superb houses without making space for at least some greenery! It doesn't necessarily have to be huge trees 🌲, but certainly some grassy areas around the buildings will suffice! Is Lakowe (Lakes) not in Lagos?? Same thing with Amen Estates, they made allowances for green areas and trees! This is down to having vision and foresight! As the whole world gets hotter, we in Nigeria are going to face some serious climate challenges! Building just pure concrete structures on top of concrete ground is not the best ! At a stage, even air conditioners in the houses would not be as effective ! But tall trees around our homes would act as a conduit to bring breeze and provide shade! They help slow down erosion and remove carbon dioxide from the air around us!! It's not just in Lagos, many other parts of Nigeria with by far more bigger land areas than Lagos, are all having property developers making the same mistakes! 👊🏾🇳🇬!
