Sir Anthony, what a monumental talent! 84 years old, still with us as I write this. I like to imagine in someone's tribute package for him, that last exchange from this scene would cap it off. "Should I be afraid?" "Not a man like you." Orchestral swell. Fitting.

Last conversation I had with my father, night before he died of a heart attack, was almost like the 'Do you love Drew?" scene. All he asked if I was happy. Said taht places and jobs will come and go - relationships and friendship - but don't stay with anything that is going to make you so unhappy that it hurts or destroys you. It's been 18 years since he has been gone - and it had taken me 15 years to get it. This movie is beautiful, underrated and unique.

Truly special movie ❤. Do you have any wisdom to share with me about how i should be with my dad in terms of talking because i really want him to know that i care for him.

I’ve watched quite a couple Brad Pitt movies and have never been fascinated and goowey eyed over Brad Pitt. Never quite understood what the fascination was BUT this movie really got me falling in love with him. Such a character, really fell in love with him as an actor. His ability to switch from exuding such a warm, curious yet charismatic demeanour to one of a boyish attractive one in just a flip of a scene really grabbed every piece of my attention and joy in this movie. And the music really guided our emotions through and through! What can I say… such is life! A true masterpiece. They don’t make movies like these anymore, it’s almost 3 hours long but doesn’t feel as though at all. Oh the 90’s… good times

Yes - Forlani's voice can be so gentle, understated "in the most... seductive way", and expressive. It is one of her finest among many excellent acting tools, including the expressive eyes, humble dropping of the head and shy, yet winning, smile. For me she's among the top, top actresses in Hollywood, for both serious and frivolous rôles (love her in 'Boys and Girls' and 'The Diplomat' [Prime] ). Here's hoping she makes more films (movies!) through her fifties and beyond. We love you, Claire (and Dougray BTW).

I first saw Anthony Hopkins in the brilliant film A Lion in Winter. Hopkins was Richard Plantagenet (the Lionheart). This film starred Peter O'Toole, Kate Hepburn, and Timothy Dalton among others. This was Hopkins' first film and he was fabulous. Richard was such a complex roll and he held his own with his costars. Hopkins has only become better over the decades!

The multiple takes perfectionism of Martin Brest in this case has produced an incredible movie where every sentence of the script is gold, where the whole ensemble cast goes through character arcs and actors move in a meaningful choreography. However, such incredible quality has lead to lack of productivity, not making a movie after 2003.

I feel it ties it back to the beginning at the coffee shop. And reinforces that Death did tell dare be vulnerable and risk her rejection and tell her his “darkest” secret who he really is, and she still told Death she loved him. As well as she still has the man she first fell in love with at the coffee shop. I’d be left wondering what happened to him. And makes it easier to let go of her dad and understand the whole situation. I do like she did not go look for his body once she understood the whole picture. I loved the different characters Brad played. I’ve never cared for him except for today I was able to appreciate him. I did see the movie when it came out, but today all pieces sunk in and I appreciated Brad Pitt.
