Medusa and the Gorgons: Exploring Greek Mythology
In this video we will explore the Ancient Greek being known as Medusa, one of the terrible monsters known as the Gorgons - the other two being her sisters Stheno and Euryale. We will cover the changes that Medusa has undergone throughout history, including the original Greek legends of the Gorgons, the Roman changes and even Medieval and Renaissance changes to their portrayal, looking into works such as Theogony by Hesiod and Metamorphoses by Ovid and more.

The idea of the Canary or Cape Verde islands works quite well with the Underworld idea, since Gibraltar aka the Pillars of Heracles are the traditional gate to the Underworld!

Brilliant, brilliant work Anna! I always felt the depictions of Medusa as a beautiful woman with the ability to turn men to stone reflected male fears of the power of feminine beauty.
