"After becoming a Gnani, you will know your thoughts are not worth two cents."..such elegant clarity. His words, as he, the Bomb. Definitely one of my favourite meditations. The sounds of nature , the perfect accompaniment to the superb delivery. Samaneri "At One" with the text as with "The One" hearing. Blessings. Thank you so much.🙏❤️

Something people should known about the writings of Nisargadatta: they are transcripts of conversations with students. There is usually a question and answer dialogue. And in compilations like this one, the questions are removed and only profound quotes are given. There's nothing wrong with that. It's just that some things he is saying to one particular person may not be appropriate for everyone. For example, when he says "I ask you to leave" or "go home and take over your father's business".... Things like that. It may help the listener to know this caveat. I believe I've heard that Nisargadatta himself said something similar when he heard that his teachings have been out into books. Just something to be aware of. I hope it helps this fantastic source of wisdom to be received without confusion.

A very good point. When in doubt, it will be best to follow your own heart, your own inner guidance. You may err but either way you will have learned something. In moments of confusion or uncertainty, I have taken to asking myself "What is my duty?" (in this moment, what am I called upon to do, and the answer could be a simple as "Be still".

There was no confusion for me. I recognized that the readings were from the books because I have read I Am That I Am. I didn’t know about the Meditations book. I find the vibrations of your voice are allowing Nisargardatta’s words to sink slowly to the depth of consciousness where they can remain, like small stones that float lightly through the water to the bottom of the ocean where they anchor themselves in the deepest still waters, undisturbed.

I have read the book before and he himself encouraged the reproduction of these teachings after having been showed the notes or so it is stated in the book. He also said that this was different to what he had "taught" in I AM THAT. The teachings are called Nirupanas (in the book) and the word means to tell you about your true nature.

@@SamaneriJayasara Thank you indeed. I really appreciate you taking your time with the reading, not rushing the reading. Also appreciate the clarity of the reading, and your voice. The background sounds are a nice touch too, perhaps even helping to switch off the intellect while listening. I was introduced to Nisargadatta through ‘I am That’. I am finding his meditations immensely more helpful than the Q & A format of ‘I am That’. Thank you indeed for your lovely contributions.
