Many thanks, I've been looking for "meditation and wellness" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Ganlizabeth Preliminary Genie - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now )? It is a great one off guide for discovering how to get abundant success using meditation without the headache. Ive heard some decent things about it and my work buddy got amazing success with it.

but like those buddhist who do meditating are fools as well. They are denying the beautiful biodiversity of the world around them just because a god so they are fools too because they dont have better reasoning for life and an urge to understand the world better but to just settle with yeah god created it. So this comment is quite pointless.

The short version is that it has increased my happiness and peace of mind exponentially. For the longer version, I can say that it has given me greater control over my own mind and a much better understanding of how my mind works. This has helped me to begin to see things as they actually are rather than what they look like distorted through the lense of my preconceptions. This in turn has greatly increased my ability to interact with the world with intention rather than in the emotional and reactionary fashion that I used to. I have not perfected this of course but I have made incredible progress. If you'd like I can tell you a simple way to get started.

i think calling measuring brain waves “science” and not calling how effectively the monk can control mind as science is a little silly to me considering the monk knows how to do it. “science” can only explain limited understanding of the brain through measurements. buddhists believe in cause and effect on a more fundamental level than most people and understand that knowing about your gamma waves is less important than knowing yourself. the way to end human suffering is going to take a long time for “science” if we limit our understanding of what science is through labels and false perceptions.

I started doing it it was really hard at first I burst into tears meanwhile I stopped using pills. I went to my therapist again after 3 months. she asked me some questions and she told me how much pills improved my mental health. I told her I wasn't using my pills I was only meditating and walking in nature she suddenly smiled and told me keep doing what you doin and since then I don't use any pills. I practiced it daily, while my friends stopped doing it. When I reached 10th grade I attained my peak point in means of calmness, thinking ability, Retaining power(Memory) and I used to think Very maturely. I clearly noticed a difference between myself from my previous self and also from my friends. But, I stopped doing Meditation day by day. I lost my inner peace, calmness. Now, it's been 5 years since I stopped meditation. I lost my self and everything Now, I'm a failure. After seeing this video I promise myself to start meditation again from Zero. For me, the noise around slowly seems to vanish into thin air, the persistent thoughts fade away and all you can do is focus on a single thought or keep the mind resting for as long as one is not interrupted by imminent need, distraction or other urgent factors. Practise is key. Determination is the master key. You can do it too. I'm not an expert here but I only wish to try and help others know how one can achieve this feeling. Good luck.

So is it about being aware of our breath while we meditate no matter where we are? Or is it about awareness of what's going on in the mind or what's going on in the present moment? Please let me know. Would be a great help. :)

Guys, correct me if I'm wrong - but meditation isn't about thinking about nothing, it's about bringing your attention to the present by focusing on your breathing, meaning as long as you dont completely forget about your breath when you meditate, it's cool to think stuff. Hope this helps & that I'm not wrong here.

Do meditations purely focused on emotions and changing core beliefs first, when you change your beliefs you change your world. I noticed since i started doing this i began to understand why everyone does EVERYTHING and literally cant be mad at anyone for their decisions. People let emotions govern them, and the belief system they didnt even choose as a child. The rigorous process of changing your beliefs has lots of emotional labor involved. It's super fucking hard. I'd meditate 2-3 hours a day feeling an emotion, asking why i felt it (We believe our beliefs serve us more than alternatives on some level, its there to serve us not sabotage but when we let it take control it often makes bad decisions) and then asking until i got to a core, and when i got to a core belief i would provide counter evidence in the form of questions followed by "this is true isnt it? Then isnt this true?" And doing it with every fucking belief. The trick is truly understanding your own pov first and genuinely wondering whether it *is* in your best interest. Sometimes, the belief you want is actually NOT in your best interest, and you side with the emotion you wanted to get rid of in the first place because you recognize it actually was right. When you have a paradigm youre locked into it which is scary because it dictates how you view yourself and your life which will create self fulfilling prophecys. For example if you truly believe you should get a job but one part of you doesnt want you to, for the undiscovered core belief that you feel more comfortable at home and you truly believe you dont want it, the two parts will go against eachother and the core belief will be proven to you- youll find some way to screw up the interview!!! This is just one of the reasons its so crucial to understand. It also will bring into question assumptions about people, make you more open, more kind, and more hard working. I recently hit 100k in just 12 days in my ecom store after relentless work i truly enjoyed as a result of changing my entire belief system. I no longer take adderall but feel as if im on it when i work (took a long time) used to get Cs in school even on adderall, now getting As. Its not magic just hard work and changing your belief system, not accepting the one we didnt even bother to question and just adopted at birth. A good rule of thumb is the stronger the emotion attached to the belief, generally ive found 1. Its the most far from reality 2. It has the least evidence to back it up 3. It is the strongest. Get in there and begin questioning them!!

Another important aspect is diet!! Make sure you do protein calculations, .8g per kg of body weight, eat only clean foods, eat under your maitenence or 200-400 calories below it/one meal a day, try establishing a yoga and workout routine (i aim for 10k steps a day, and work out 3x a week create a lifestyle that does this so you dont have to just do it, listen to good audiobooks and memorize the content) and get enough rest. These will allow you the brain power to even do the things i mentioned, theyre so emotionally laborious and energy zapping at the start, youll truly need to eat clean at least and get enough sleep or you might give up. Visualizing the desired outcome with that "winning" feeling before you sleep is also something that will wire your mind to keep going and is super powerful (i see many doing affirmations but this is just a bandaid, as soon as you stop your old beliefs will take over. If you dont remove them at the core, theyre like weeds and will just grow again) good luck and cheers!

    How to meditate ...؟؟

  • @HaroutBlack

    @HaroutBlack

    Жыл бұрын

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father (God) but by me" John 14:6 although the main focus of meditation is the calming of the mind which is the main reason of such results, the practice of buddhists and Hindus goes beyond the practice to master calming their mind, they aim to reach higher spiritual awareness through hand positioning to call on spirits that bring divers spiritual experiences on the meditator, it is a never ending cycle of reaching higher being which no one has, it is like a trap, the more you do it the more you have to do and eventually it leads to anxiety, but when your looking for the perfect peace, Jesus Christ is the only way to perfect peace and salvation. Hindus meditate everyday and while meditating they have peace but when their meditation is finished the peace goes away. But Jesus gives everlasting peace which never leaves. therefore if your looking for truth Jesus says "I am the truth, the way and the life" John 14:6. "whoever calls upon the name of the Lord (Jesus Christ) shall be saved" Romans 10:13

try counting on your non dominant hand to 100; one finger can move at a time & it’s finger to palm otherwise it’s finger to wrist motions; 5 reps while saying and thinking the numbers while focusing/stabilizing your vision on your fingers to mentally capture the hand movements(sharply) in turn subconsciously retaining muscle memory; making you feel every part of your hand, then your lower arm, then your upper part. this is going to kick up the non dominant half of your brain’s activity inducing a sense of calmness in the repetition but boredom. take the boredom and use it to explore your mind; thoughts of yourself. you’re going to reach a point after doing it so much you’re going to start getting lost in your thoughts being more and more unaware of your movement. that’s what I did to help me reach a level of calm so I could meditate more and more effectively. might be much but it definitely starts to go a long way once you get it down. hope it helps.

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR HAPPINESS IN A BOTTLE, IN DRUGS, IN ENTERTAINMENT, IN A CAREER, IN MONEY & MATERIAL POSSESSIONS, IN SPORTS, IN STRANGE MEN/WOMEN, IN ADDICTIONS, IN NEW AGE PRACTICES, ETC? DO THEY EVER FILL YOU OR DO YOU JUST MOVE ON TO THE NEXT FIX OR THE NEXT THING? THERE IS A CREATION SO WE KNOW THERE IS A CREATOR. YOU DIDN'T COME FROM NOTHING & YOU WEREN'T CREATED FOR NO REASON. YOUR LIFE HAS A PURPOSE AND YOU ARE LOVED & VALUED BY GOD! YOU WERE CREATED TO LOVE & SERVE GOD AND TO LOVE & SERVE OTHERS! YOU SEE WHEN GOD CREATED US HE LEFT A HOLE IN US THAT CAN ONLY BE FILLED BY HIM! THIS IS WHY SO MANY THAT HAVE ACHIEVED GREAT SUCCESS IN THE WORLD ARE STILL MISERABLE & DEPRESSED. IT JUST LEAVES THEM LONGING FOR MORE & WONDERING WHY THAT DIDN'T FIX THE BROKENNESS IN THEM. WHY DO SO MANY RICH PEOPLE & CELEBRITIES DRINK/DRUG THEMSELVES TO DEATH? GOD DESIRES FOR YOU TO KNOW HIM AS A FATHER, A BEST FRIEND, A PROTECTOR, A PROVIDER, A REFUGE. HE WANTS TO BE MASTER & LORD OF YOUR LIFE, HE WANTS TO BE YOUR SAVIOR. HE WANTS A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU, LIKE A FATHER & SON/DAUGHTER! HE LOVES YOU MORE THAN ANY PERSON EVER CAN BECAUSE HE IS LIMITLESS! HE'S ALL KNOWING, ALL POWERFUL, ALL SEEING! JESUS KNOCKS ON YOUR HEART AND LONGS FOR YOU TO ANSWER! HE DOESN'T WANT TO SEE ANYONE PERISH INTO HELL. GOD LOVES YOU SO HE GIVES YOU FREE WILL AND A CHOICE TO ACCEPT HIM OR REJECT HIM. TO LOVE HIM OR TO LOVE SIN/THIS WORLD. CALL UPON JESUS & ASK HIM TO FORGIVE YOUR SINS! SURRENDER YOUR WILL & YOUR LIFE TO HIM AND HE WILL GIVE YOU ETERNAL LIFE IN HEAVEN! PICTURE YOUR BEST DAY ON EARTH TIMES A BILLION FOR ETERNITY, THAT'S HEAVEN! NOW PICTURE YOUR WORST DAY ON EARTH TIMES A BILLION FOR ETERNITY, THAT'S HELL! TOTAL SEPARATION FROM GOD & HIS BLESSINGS (LOVE, PEACE, JOY, HOPE, FRIENDS, FAMILY, REST, ETC). IN HELL YOU WILL BE ALONE, YOU WILL BE HOPELESS, YOU WILL BE IN DESPAIR & AGONY FOREVER! GOD'S STANDARD FOR HEAVEN IS PERFECTION AND ONLY JESUS (THE SON OF GOD, GOD IN THE FLESH) LIVED THAT PERFECT LIFE AND LAID DOWN HIS LIFE AS AN OFFERING FOR ALL PEOPLE'S SINS! YOU CAN CHOOSE TO REJECT JESUS' GIFT & PAY FOR YOUR OWN SIN WITH DEATH (HELL) BUT THAT SEEMS PRETTY FOOLISH! GOD SEES & HEARS EVERYTHING YOU HAVE SAID & DONE. YOU WONT WIN AN ARGUMENT ON JUDGEMENT DAY & YOU CANT DEFEND ANY OF YOUR SINS. WE'RE ALL GUILTY WITHOUT ACCEPTING JESUS' SACRIFICE FOR OUR SINS! THESE ARE END TIMES: THE VACCINES & BOOSTERS ARE POISON & MANY WILL DIE FROM THEM! THE MARK OF THE BEAST IS NEXT AND YOU WONT BE ABLE TO DO ANYTHING WITHOUT IT! EVENTUALLY YOU WILL BE FORCED TO GET IT OR BE KILLED! EVERYTHING GOING ON IS TALKED ABOUT IN THE BIBLE BUT IT WILL GET FAR WORSE THAN ANY TIME IN HISTORY. YOUR ONLY HOPE IS CHRIST! HE IS THE ONLY WAY TO ESCAPE OR ENDURE WHAT'S TO COME! MUHAMMAD DIDN'T DIE FOR YOUR SINS, BUDDHA DIDN'T DIE FOR YOUR SINS, NO PASTOR/PRIEST/MARY OR SAINT DIED FOR YOUR SINS, NO IDOLS OR FALSE GODS DIED FOR YOUR SINS, NO ACTOR OR CELEBRITY DIED FOR YOUR SINS, NO ATHLETE OR POLITICIAN DIED FOR YOUR SINS! JESUS CHRIST ALONE DIED FOR YOUR SINS & WAS RESURRECTED FROM THE GRAVE! HE IS ALIVE & COMING BACK SOON WITH JUDGEMENT! PREPARE YOURSELVES! DON'T WAIT TO CRY OUT TO HIM! Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."-John 14:6 "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven."-Matthew 10:33 “For the wages of sin is death (hell), but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”-Romans 6:23

Meditation helps you come to the realization that you are NOT the body, that you are NOT your thoughts or senses or any other function, but the awareness of these happenings. When you truly see that you are the unchangeable, the only constant, and seize identification with functions only meant to be used as tools you drop the illusion of being a beggar in your own kingdom.

Hii, it's a personal experience guys , I started meditation and yoga when i was in beginning of my 9th standard, it means when we are facing 1st wave of corona that year it really went well I started noticing change in by behaviour face change attitude, i became soo calm , mature , more like a grown adult . But after that when the schools were re opened i didn't get enough time to continue it and then i became lazy lost patience, my anxiety levels increased , I don't know the reason but observed so many drastic changes in me i literally became the worst version of my self .. it's been 2 years I stoped it . I really realised my mistake. As I faced the worst situations. Now I again decided to do that daily .. it really makes me feel that I'm with my true personality. And i totally lv it .thanks ma'am/sir who ever read this till the end ☺️

Buddhist teaching, that is amazing ! All the sufferings are coming because of the mind. If you control your mind and thinking , there is no suffering at all. To do that, meditation is essential. Because our mind is wandering everywhere in every second. The mind has trained for that. It is difficult to keep in mind without shivering. Meditation gives you the strength to do this. When your mind is calm, you feel that your body is getting lighter, your mind becomes lighter. I have felt this experience so much time. When I got some headache, I meditated and tried to control my mind. I tried to concentrate for the pain... Then I try to give up that pain... I refused that pain does not belong to me... Because this body does not belong to me... Then, automatically my pain was lost... I feel amazing... This was a true experience... Try this and give me feedback... mind is very powerful thing... But we need to control our mind... That is what Buddhism teaches you... That's why Buddhism is greater than other religions... Everything is due to our mind.... Happiness is within our self... Dont seek it within other things... You can buy happiness from different things, but all these things are in permanent... But happiness comes from controlling the mind, it is permanent until death....

Been meditating for I'd say like 10 minutes a day for the past 8 months here are some discoveries I've made 1) When I wake up in a bad mood, (usually because my morning starts off with something extra or annoying) my subconscious thoughts will become more negative, and once I meditate, it clears my mind, and it's like waking up on the right side of the bed when I am done 2) Focus. One time, I was in a bad mood thinking a lot about stuff in the past, and this completely got rid of all anxious thoughts. (probably my best discovery) the point is that your brain always needs to be focused on something, so lets say you get really anxious in public, well your brain is focused on those thoughts, and it is something that you can control and change. And I know this because of this one experience where I felt very very zen lol when I usually wouldn't have, just because my brain was focused on something else. 3) Stopping negative thoughts instantly. I think previously, these negative thoughts that would pop up would just kind of take over my mind. I didn't really think anything of it, my brain just wandered, and I followed. But now, as soon as a negative thought pops up, I instantly become aware of it, and redirect my thoughts elsewhere. There is a lot more consistency with my days being considered good because of this. One thought that is negative can have a ripple effect and ruin your whole day. So it is. best to just ignore it if it is meaningless. I have just now gotten to the point where I actually kind of look forward to meditating, just because of reason #1 mainly. Even if I am having a good day, it makes it even better. It took a bit to get here tho, at first meditating was a chore. I would also like to point out I am not great at meditating at all, I suck at focusing on my breath, but overtime, I have made these discoveries by connecting a few dots. I have made more, but I can't remember them all because I don't wanna take the time to think back lol, these were more recently emphasized. last point is that meditating on a certain idea is super useful too. Usually, your brain just wanders and has the same thoughts, or useless thoughts, but when you really focus on one thing, you start to figure A LOT out. Whether it be a business idea, what groceries you need to get, your to do list, etc. Actual Last Point (most important) the best advice I could give anyone in the world would be to spend 20 minutes at the end of each day or even once a week to just sit down and talk out loud, or type. The reason this is the best advice I could possibly give someone is because the amount of things that you will figure out is infinite. This is what lead me down this road of 'figuring stuff out" anyways thank you for reading, and if you read thus please leave a comment and lmk your thoughts. Thanks! and hopefully this doesn't get lost in the comments too much

To me it seems like meditation can be effectively described as a practice that grounds and harmonizes you. Doing a single thing for long periods of time, as opposed to many, enables a person to attain full calibration to that single task, which in the case of traditional meditation is one's own existence. Multitasking on the other hand has the opposite effect, where you try to calibrate yourself to multiple things simultaneously without really attaining true attunement to any, resulting in a bad ability to focus well at these tasks.

After meditating for 4 months straight for an hour back in 2014, my whole life changed! When I started meditating, I was only doing it to help silence my thoughts bc I worked in a warehouse where there were lots of noises - buzzing, chatter, machines going off, the overhead announcements going off, random equipment and device rings or beeps and I just needed some peace and quiet when I got home. So I meditated every single day for an hour after work for about 4 months. After the 4 months I noticed significant changes throughout my day-to-day. For instance, whenever you wake up from dreaming - do you remember the dream? Rarely, right? Welp! NOT ANYMORE!! My memory suddenly was on fire - I could recall the littlest details about my day, or if I had lost something I could back-track and find the lost item, and I could also remember every. Single. Dream. I had. It got to the point where I was recording a whole month’s worth of dreams because I would wake up and actually remember everything - colors, sounds, symbols, people, situations, everything! Even if I just took an hour nap I would dream! I did more research after and found that we only dream if we enter deep sleep (REM), so I naturally could get to REM without even trying - it was all due to meditation since that was the only thing I changed in my daily routine. Other than that, I was able to precognitive dream at times and had some interesting experiences that I cannot really explain, which never happened to me prior to this. Anyway, just thought I’d share my story. Although now I don’t really meditate as often as I used to, the ability to remember dreams or recall things is still pretty sharp. This all happened about 6 years ago and to this day I still have this ability. I stopped meditating heavily only because I wanted the dreams to stop, but I’m still able to dream vividly every night, I just stopped recording them bc it got to be a bit excessive. When I do meditate, I only do so for like half an hour to an hour and when I do it, I usually don’t think of anything. I just try to listen to the silence and not focus on anything. That was my method.

I suffered from anxiety attacks for years. Had a bad episode at College in front of fellow students. It was embarrassing. My Dr put me on Narcs that wasn't effective until after the attacks happened, so I gave them up and looked into other alternatives. I found meditation. Practice for years. It changed my entire life; no more anxiety-attack-free for over 7 years now, and I became more emotional, mentally balanced. I handle "negative" situations with ease. Meditation is so valuable!

Islam tells us to pray 5 times a day, which is a sort of meditation that also takes a total of approximately 30mins a day, at different time intervals. It is such a miracle to see how every part of Islam has logic behind it, some of which we didn't know. Even non-Muslims prove this. It's amazing.

If you want to be free of the imbalance, you have to address it directly, not mask it with chemicals. Also according to the study people with a few weeks of meditation can enhance brain patterns. That repeatability suggests non randomness. I understand your point. Meditation is often compared to mindfulness but we often attach different ideologies to them. Meditation (or mindfulness) is not merely closing your eyes and sitting still. It is a lifestyle of self-awareness that these monks had adapted to. So, helping people, walking in nature and feeding animals is also an act of meditating, mindfulness or self-awareness (whatever you'd like to call it). You may have a different perspective but we never really know unless we try it ourselves. :)

@@Young_Dab I disagree. Feelings are a reaction to thoughts. Thoughts are fed to you from the outside world: your parents, society, other people. You are not your beliefs, insecurities or what people tell you you are. Even though if you, for even a moment, are able to not identify with your racing thoughts and unstable feelings, what’s underneath is not “nothing”. It can’t be explained, only experienced. Edit: Eckhart Tolle explains it better 😊 I learned this stuff and how to meditate by a guided meditation on KZread. Check it out and see if it works for you!

@@LyrasRaven *Who you are now is who you were always gonna be!* I understand what you're saying, I often have the same deep thoughts with myself like "who was I before the world imprinted on me?" Logically speaking as kids our thoughts and feelings can be easily manipulated by our parents or siblings and even the outside world but when you become completely independent you can take total control over everything that you are and the way you think. The outside world may still have an effect on your character even when you believe you have everything figured out but that's just how life goes. If you were the only human on Earth than that isolated journey of yours would also impact your thoughts and feelings in a great way. It's only natural that all life adapts to survive even if it's not a life or death scenario, adapting to surviving highschool is a journey in itself. My point is that no matter the circumstances we adapt the best way believe in order to survive and thrive, our genetics from our ancestors even has say so on who we are ranging from physical appearance to our thoughts and personality... After 2 months, one night i fell into a deep mediation and had the best out of body experience possible. I felt a presence, which was surely my father and helped me find closure. Mediation can help cure disease, depression, and just general mind clarity. I highly recommend everyone try it. Mediation without a doubt allows us to receive in ways I never thought possible. I dream of the days where more people meditate and raise the frequency of this beautiful world.
