WHAT IS TALK HEATHEN?
Talk Heathen is a weekly call-in television show in Austin, Texas geared toward long-form and on-going dialogue with theists & atheists about religion, theism, & secularism. Talk Heathen is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin.
Talk Heathen is filmed in front of a live studio audience every week at the Freethought Library of the Atheist Community of Austin.
The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop & support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing & friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of government-religion separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists & to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.
We define atheism as the lack of belief in gods. This definition also encompasses what most people call agnosticism.

At first I thought this caller was going to be another bad one, but then I changed my mind when he respectfully listened to the host and was polite....and then all of my charitable thoughts towards him went right out the window when he said that people should pray instead of going to the doctor, one of the most dangerous and deadly religious beliefs ever conceived!

@@wizardsuth yea I know... but the distinction is pointless in life as peppers, don't go in the fruit section. Life never fits in human categories. Even something as simple as fruit and vegetables.. We don't even have a definite line between plant, and fungus/fungus and animal..even some single cell organisms band together and act like multi cell animals.. Biology doesn't care about our categories.

Now he knows his spiritual belief is unreliable and he agreed with that. Wow baby steps (since we learn these basic things as young kids). Actually he can now confidently throw his _spiritual_ wording away, straight in the gutter. That's wonderful news he agrees.
