I had a heart attack 2 weeks ago today. A stent was placed in my "widowmaker" which was 95% blocked. I am on several of these meds. I would like to thank the staff at St. Joes in Warren Ohio and St. Elizabeths in Youngstown, Ohio. Your fast reactions saved my life. God bless you all.

I'm at the stage where I've stopped talking medications for my stent and previous heart attack 3 years ago. I'm sick of waking up every morning just to stare at the ground. When I come good after 1 hour, the rest of the day is just struggling to do just chores. Have to have regular breaks, can't breathe at times while sweating profusely. Feeling dizzy and just feeling crap all day. Sick of it.

I had stent in 2019. I am on meds which my doctor says I will be on for life. In my case Ace inhibitor, statin and low dose aspirin. You mention you are no longer on meds for heart stent? This may be why you are havng health challenges.

4 years straight. I didn't give them up, I couldn't get access to the CTG. Close The Gap. Wasn't on file and had to register again. 2 months later I gave up. Back on aspirin and nitrolingual pump.

@@worthmor5146 Well, I hope your health is good and you don't need expensive surgery or tests etc, - as regards high taxes as you put it, - I do understand what you mean, but they sure don't feel high if you have ever needed the health care provided 24/7 365 days a year, for any condition, - I had a major coronary 10 years ago, and over the years a couple of other serious issues, the medical bills would have run into hundreds of thousands, which I don't have, - so "high tax" is a very relative term - somebody might say it's a highly taxed nation if they enjoy perfect health, - but even healthy people die ;) and they usually get sick before they die, - the NHS is a national treasure to my mind, - once again, be well, and cheers ;)

Cholesterol is in your entire circulatory system. Why is there clogging of the ARTERIES close to the heart and not in the veins or capillaries in your nose, ear or knee? This is because the pumping of the heart can cause hairline cracks. Blood pressure is highest in this area. These hairline cracks are repaired by a sticky substance LP(a), to prevent from getting worse. Why don't animals have cardiovascular disease? Almost all animals produce large amounts of vitamin C in their liver. On average 35 mg/kg body weight. So we have to take at least about 3000 mg of vitamin C ourselves because humans cannot make vitamin C. You get strong collagen tissue, strong connective tissue, strong arteries. Hairline cracks no longer form and arterial plaque is removed and burned in the liver. Repair with cholesterol is therefore a consequence of a deficiency of vitamin C. So do not take statins, but vitamin C in a high dose: at least 3 grams, better: 6 to 10 grams Source: Cardiovascular disease and vitamin C (Dr. Rath Foundation)

There are studies showing that statins aren’t nearly as effective as we’re led to believe. I refused statins after my stent in my LAD last year. Need to look at Absolute vs Relative risk and Number Needed to Treat (NNT). Be fully informed because we are afraid after a heart event and will do anything we’re told. I did take Dual Antiplatelet Therapy and 1 beta blocker. Currently tapering off slowly.
