Great presentation! Thumbs Up! The watch is a good idea but... still has the white coat effect, why? Because you know that you are measuring and the fear of seeing the BP up increases the anxiety as a result the BP gets even higher. I always wanted a monitor that would measure my BP, without your knowing that it does. In fact, as soon as you will get a wrong reading a few times, it will become similar to a regular BP monitor. The whole advantage is that it's A) cuffless B) it's always with you, whether you are at work or home. The bottom line it's worth getting one antway.

The need for such a device certainly exists, but none are exactly what is needed. Wrist rash is a real issue with plastic watch bands, but it is usually not addressed. This device does not allow the watch band to be replaced.

What I'd really like to know is if this watch (or, open to any other suggestions from any watch maker) can stand on its own for the needs of a senior who doesn't need all the bells and whistles (notifications, weather, music, etc) but have all the essential medical related needs most seniors require?

Got mine last week. BP measurement is rather surprisingly accurate (I use also an Omron arm cuff to compare). The other functions (sleep monitoring etc.) need dome improvements.

MED, most recent model. I am using one since early December. Compared it to my Omron arm cuff reader, it's really accurate. I even got similar results while at my doctor's office in mid-December. That being said, I think it's better to also use a regular arm cuff occasionally to make sure everything is in range.

I am looking for a gadget that helps my mom measuring her blood pressure with medical accuracy. I have found this one and the Omron one. What do you think about both? Pros and cons? Other question is: Do these gadgets measure in a normal authomatic basis the BP or does the patient/user has to click in order to measure it? Thanks doc!

I’ll wait for a product like the Aktiia band that takes BP passively and throughout the day and night. The above device does nothing to counter white coat hypertension.

In Aug I was diagnosed with I have Bicuspid Aortic Valve disease so it is extremely important to lower my blood pressure. I bought this watch to monitor my BP and see if my medications will need to be adjusted. I ordered this watch and it is $249 CAN but not sure about the shipping cost. Hope this is good info for others. I have confidence in your recommendations. Thank you

What's $?

I bought this smartwatch and tested it against 3 upper arm and wrist blood pressure monitors. The results were not good. Also, it often builds up way too much pressure, up to 220 and then the result is 140:90, even though the measurement takes place during inflation. Has hung up several times and crashed operating system. Running time only a fraction of what the manual says. The SW was shipped from Malaysia, looked used, display protection was detached at the edge, with dust particles. It was sent back to China. The watch was on its way to China for 1 month and has been at China Post for a month and will not be picked up, although I have informed the company several times. I paid over 60€ in customs in Germany and as long as I don't get a refund for the watch, I can't ask for the customs fees back. It will be difficult anyway because of the different return address. I have already reported the case to PayPal. Only trouble, no recommendation for this smartwatch and Fitology!

It's fake in terms of claim. Worst product .. BP in watch - 120/80 , in BP instrument 145/95 .. way too off from the actuao BP reading ..Not accurate dont buy for measuring BP.. they rip of money
