Media Hunter - Jaws: The Revenge Review
Ойын-сауық
Just as the films have reused the same shark head for all their posters, I have used the same shark head for all these reviews. Oh and um...this movie is one of the worst things out there.

This was one of the final films along with All Dogs go to Heaven to feature young child actor Judith Barshi before she and her mother were murdered by her father. That was such a horrible tragedy that could have been prevented. Its a shame one of her final roles was in a movie that was so bad.

It very tragic for sweet Judith. I made a character based on her likeness
This movie and All Dogs go to Heaven was Judith Barsi’s last film role.

Surprise he didnt mention Judith
Jaws: timeless blockbuster Jaws 2: unnecessary, but a good sequel. Jaws 3: awful effects and characters, but it tries, somewhat. Jaws the revenge: why are we still here? Just to suffer?
BTW, Ellen Brody's granddaughter is played by Judith Barsi, who you might remember voicing Ducky in The Land Before Time and Ann Marie in All Dogs Go To Heaven. Sadly, this was one of her last movies. :( PS: Dude, no mention of the alternate ending where the shark is just stabbed and cracks the boat in half?

@@horrorfanandy4647it just make me angry how farther was willing to kill his own child.
The fact that Judith Barsi was in this movie just makes it even sadder. This was so beneath her and sadly her horrible father was threatening her during production as well. Seriously, she was so young and yet it was taken away so sudden. And I wasn't even born when she died. Also this movie could have needed those two years the other movies did. Also that attack on the banana boat also recalls a sigh of relief from all black people that the black dude didn't get bitten like Jaws 3D.
at least this review is better than the one reviewed by Doug Walker years ago! btw Judith Barsi was in this movie! R.I.P.
Brucie: I'm Gonna Keep My Franchise Going ( Ducky ): Hold My Tree Star
I feel bad that the little late Judith Barsi was attacked in this

The shark would have been less of a monster than what was waiting for her at "home". He threatened her, you know. When she was packing for this movie, her "father" came in, held a knife to her throat, told her that if she didn't come back, he'd find her and slit her throat.
Since I’m from Long Island, NY, and lately we had some shark sightings on some Nassau County beaches. It’s so scary, it’s terrifying.
And to think, Michael Caine missed out on accepting his Oscar to star in the movie.
It's a shame you forgot the other ending which was actually made more sense where the shark does still get impaled but instead bleeds out as it roars in pain, and the weight of the shark causes the mast to break off both the shark and the mast sink to the ocean. That was in the initial theatrical release before it went international.

And when it aired on TV.
I remember watching the first half of this movie at 5am before going to school. I thought the shark attack on Sean was pretty terrifying especially with the quick shots of the shark mouth. Looking back on it a second time, it's pretty badly put together. The "blood in the water" is clearly stock footage for the feeding scene later on in the movie and Sean is so clearly sticking his "bitten off arm" inside his jacket. I didn't realize it was a Jaws movie since aside from that and the dream sequence, the shark barely showed up and when it did....yeah, pretty damn fake.
There is an alternate version of Jaws The Revenge that has a narration in the beginning and a much better kill of the shark that’s a lot more gory than what we got here. They literally re used the same shot from the first Jaws. And Jake is still dead. When I first saw the theatrical cut of it on TV one day I thought to myself wait shouldn’t you be dead? But then I had to remember that the alternate version of Jaws The Revenge would play on TV years ago.
here we go again
My thoughts on the Jaws movies... Jaws: Great movie. Jaws 2: Not as good, but still passable. Jaws 3D: They jumped the shark, pun intended. Jaws The Revenge: They jumped the shark, then shot it, then beat it with a club, then took a piss and steaming dump on it. There is no wonder there was never an official Jaws 5. Notice how I said official, because yes, there is a Jaws 5 Cruel Jaws, it's just not an official sequel, just someone trying to do a cash grab piggy backing off a known franchise. Learned of it from The Cinema Snob.

Mistress Jen Unless you count Jaws Unleashed for the PS2 and XBOX to be Jaws 5 like how TellTales Back to the Future Game is a continuation of the series.
The shark is better looking than the one from Jaws 3 at least
"oh no i'm afraid of sharksl" here a bright idea. MORE AWAY FROM THE COAST!"
Dude, the shark exploding and the stock footage of the OG shark from the first film was just one version of the film's ending. There's an alternate ending where the shark still gets impaled, but it just bleeds out and roars in pain (speaking of, the fact that it roars in this film is just stupid), and the weight causes the boat to tip over while the mast breaks off. Also, in that version, Jake doesn't survive.
6:14 While I understand your issue with the film anthropomorphizing the shark, Great Whites have been known to travel very long distances. They also have a very large global range; being found in most oceans (except the waters around the North & South Pole). 6:26, unless you're speaking about a hypothetical scenario instead of what's shown on screen, that's neither fresh water nor a lake (though some shark species have been known to swim up fresh water but the Great White isn't one of them). The waters surrounding the Bahamas are the Gulf of Mexico & Atlantic Ocean; both are salt water. I think you thought it was fresh water because it's more clear?
I find it funny that so many people make fun of the shark roaring in this movie, when the shark roared in the first Jaws too.

It was stupid there and it's stupid here
"Why not make it like that stan in JoJo where it appears in any liquid?" Oh you really really need to review Ghost Shark!

My thoughts exactly.^^
When the reviews on this movie are more entertaining than the movie itself!!!
media hunter i have a request: this is a movie that has noting to do with the sequel and it is called "CRUEL JAWS" please review this movie next. because it needs more attention and the indian jaws movie called "AATANK" which is a shark movie too.
The original theatrical ending had the shark impaled and bleeds and dies on the boat
Even Worse, in the Novel, A Voodoo Doctor puts a curse on Michael because he hates Michael for unknown reasons, so he has Vengeance to kill Michael.
They could always move somewhere not near water.
This time, it’s personal.

“Sharks don’t take things personally Mr. Brody” Jaws 2
Unlike the previous films, this movie doesn't have the benefit of using real live Great White footage to help you believe its real.
You should do toy story
He should review Looney Tunes Back in action
Clash (Golden Wind) is a better shark than Vengence
There's also a TV version of this movie, where it shows a different ending, where the shark was stabbed with the boat point tip and the shark was spraying blood, also it just sinks down in the ocean.
I don't know, I always found the shark from Jaws 3 to be the slowest of these creatures.
- Forgets to mention they changed the shark's fate to a different kill - That's treason! 😡
Issac you just finished the Jaws trilogy! What are you gonna do next?
It's sad that this movie is so bad, because it is nice to see Mrs. Brody have a front and center role after being sidelined in Jaws 1 and 2. Lorraine Gary is a good actress and this is probably her one time to be the lead of a movie. But the writing does her no favors. Even just the fact this movie centers around a middle aged woman is unique.
Please don't kill me, I saw this movie for the first time as a 10 year old, and actually enjoyed it.

People are allowed to like things, if you liked it, than I'm glad.
I'm surprised you didn't bring up the TV cut's ending which involves the Shark getting impaled with a bunch of blood guzzling out which a much better ending then the theatrical cut.

That's the version I saw on the CW late night movie.
9 months? Really? Hollywood just keeps getting dumber and dumber
Boy not only is this movie unnecessary but also forgettable
Don't forget Jaw 13
