Damn I hope so!

I think i'll keep my PMP Berzerker, Titanium Frame Lock and s35vn that I paid $199 for. No lock stick and has drop shut action. I'm a proud American but I'm not paying $400 that thing.

I've handled one and I agree, it's not worth the cost.

I unapologetically enjoy my Medford and think it is well worth what I paid for it. This knife is on my list and one day I'll get one.

Good job as always LTK. But like I said in my review, this knife is not where it needs to be for the price. IMO it's not even close.

Hey LTK! I love this as my every day beater. And thats why I have it...Beat the fuck out of it. But I do agree you wont forget the brick in your pocket

My beef with this knife is the type of lock chosen. If it was a fixed blade it would make sense but a linerlock its not a type of lock which is good for a hard use folder but I understand that some people does not want a Tri-Ad. Some people want a hard use in the framelock/linerlock configuration.

I like the flag on scales and the Medford logo. You could put the Pretorian on one side and the PMP on the other side for balance. It sure wouldn't disappear in pocket. I can't justify the price.

I love Medfords, have a praetorian T, praetorian genesis T, micro praetorian T and 187F. I think the production praetorian would be great if it were reasonably priced at $249 or so. Especially when you can get praetorians second hand for just $100 more than this full production cheaper version.

Or, spend $20 for the Praetorian clone on Aliexpress 😄

the design is pretty cool, but $400 for a chunk of D2? cmon man...

It’s a more edcable praetorian. Lighter, liner lock, easy clip. What attracts me to the scout is the fit and finish looks a lot better than their in house versions. I can see the errors in the high def pics. As much as I am attracted to a medford they look a bit rushed in construction. I may pick up a scout if I can find the S35vn version with the 6 shooter pivot. I know I am buying for style. Cold steel are real hard users. Have you tried some pencil or sharpie on the lock interface ??

390 dollars for a D2 blade. It must be really well built.

All hardware is steel. Titanium hardware is a $200 upgrade on medfords and does not offer titanium hardware or spacers on the production praetorian.

I wouldn’t pay more that 150 for one. Way over priced for what they are. Not that great.

I've always loved the design of these but they're just too pricey.

I'm sorry but I own knives that have way better steels and high end scales and hardware that cost less than this knife cost. There is no way in hell I would ever spend what they want for it.

Yeah nah. Medford's 'my d**k is bigger than yours' knives just don't do it for me. Yep, they're over built, strong knives but they just don't do it for me. More power to anyone who enjoys them though.

What an over priced piece of crap. D2 is what you get in a budget China knife because its cheap so what, pray tell, justifies an near $400 price tag? Certainly its not the grind. Its an answer looking for a problem. I guess if you're a forest ranger and do search and rescue and need a pocket AXE, then this is the knife. Other than that I question the sanity of anyone who buys one. Oh, last point, I just found one from China for $25....so??????
