The majority of people don't end of doing what they dreamed of as a kid. I'm sure accountants or garbage haulers didn't dream of those jobs growing up. Most people end up where they are because of personal choices and their environment.

Y’all think this is wild, but this is almost the exact situation my husband and I found ourselves in. Our kids’ biological mother wanted to continue receiving child support when the kids were placed with us so that she could feed them during visits and buy them gifts and stuff. Unbelievable as it is, there are people this stupid in the world.

Yea both my parents actually had the nerve to take my Grams to court after she found all 13 of us one by one in foster care and gained custody. They actually believed they were owed money because they were required to show up once a month for a supervised visit. 🤣 I was about 12 and legitimately busted out laughing when they sat there in court arguing and pleading with the judge. I remember it like it was yesterday, the judge said "turn around and look at your daughter laughing at you...she's laughing at you...how is it a child has more understanding of what's going on than two adults? Shameful." All said and done they obviously were denied, BUT ☝in addition my little outburst of laughter earned me a chance to speak. It sparked the judge's curiosity about the visitation. I was able to finally tell the right person that none of us wanted anything to do with either of them because they're severe addicts and that's what will always come first for them. Boom just like that they were taken off of visitation, denied money AND ordered to pay. Which they didn't by never getting jobs and therefore spent time in and out of jail for that along with their other various charges. Needless to say they're useless humans who shouldn't have had children, let alone 13.

I got a topper my husband's ex-wife they had four kids two of them lived with us for years and she still demanded the child support pay and of course my husband didn't have a spine enough to go and argue with a judge or a lawyer to fight it so for the past almost 15 years we've been paying the kids have all been grown and she still wants support she made sure to hold the daughter back 2 years to make sure she got an extra 2 years of child support

@@melissaroe3376i am pretty sure that even though you are not the biological parent to these children, since they are in your custody you can petition the court for child support. You can also ask for backpay to be paid for the time they were in your custody and you didnt recieve anything. However, if they’re over 18, then its a no god. Im sorry you have a spineless husband

Obviously he's not very bright. Once the divorce court hears that they will order him to get a job and to pay alimony based on what he was making before. It's called intentional underemployment/unemployment. The courts don't let you get away with that crap.

A prime example of listening to others who have no clue what the system is in place for. To support the kids! Not the parent.

I divorced in 1985. I was awarded $250 CA for two children (9 & 12). My father died in 1987 and the ex wanted a decrease in child support as he figured I got money from the will. Obviously irrelevant. We moved away in 1989 when the boys were 13 and 16. Kept getting child support until one day it had shrunk to $125. My oldest had turned 18 and the ex talked to a friend who told him that once the child turned 18, he didn't have to pay anymore. But he was still living with me and going to school. Took him to court - got back support for the oldest and got an increase for the youngest of nearly $600. So much for 'expert' advice!

Lord I got court soon..please don’t let me get nervous and say “your judge” because he has said over and over

I'm in Australia and we have a dedictated 'Child Support Agency' that does all the calculations, and can collect on a carer's behalf. After speaking with my fmr husband, and then sussing me out, the agent then told me all the ways I could get my liability reduced to $0AUD. I laughed, thanked them, and said I was okay with paying the support amount the CSA deemed I could afford, because those were MY kids 😎 When the living arrangements were reversed, I didn't ask CSA to collect on my behalf until I actually needed the money. He's escaped >$5,000AUD because of that. He's even applied for child support for a child he had already handed over to his parents to raise 😂

This is the best court show I've seen in a long time! Can't wait until this gets on the national syndication circuit with all the other court shows out there. LMAO, Jason thought that he was going to get child support payments and he's not the custodial parent? That really backfired for him. Also, I was really kinda shocked that he made $45,000 a year repairing mechanical bulls. I think he was full of Kaka and also quitting your job after you filed for divorce? Now that doesn't make sense to me either. The one thing that I'm always concerned about is why is it that some people quit their job when they have child-support obligations to pay? Don't you know that the court system is going to make you pay regardless if you lose your job? Finally, there is no court system in all 50 states is going to pay a noncustodial parent any child support payments.

My cousin's ex husband quit every job he had once the the court ordered child support order started to be deducted from his paychecks.

My oldest daughters father never keeps a job! As soon as child support starts taking money out of his check then he quits! He is $27,000 in the whole and Tennessee decided he was wasting their time and he no longer pays child support or the thousands behind either so I pay for everything. He dont see her either his. First born as well as being the only girl out of 6 kids and the said he didn't want her and his family ignores her as well after the fraught with me wanting to see her now they dont. Him a d his family is worthless

I get paid child support but have never asked for an increase even though he got a higher paying job few years ago. He's a good father and gives them what they need. We split visitation thru the week, it's all verbal agreement, we communicate about the kids nearly daily. No reason to mess up what's not broken.
