Interesting mech design. There's a very similar machine in the game Generation Zero, called the In.Ma.-01 'Ox' Ingenjörmaskin ('engineer/logistical machine' in Swedish), better known as a Harvester. It's used for a similar purpose, too: hauling and logistics. Except the ones in the game have rocket pods, gas launchers, and reinforcement beacons on them, because the being controlling them is a homicidal psychopath.

it so strange when you recognise a component in a model and then cant stop seeing it the whole way. That looks like the gundam Mk2 shield on the shins of the legs

Love this kinda kit-bashing s- to death. Kinda locked into digital now. No more finger cuts and duplications are trivial, but [sigh] real paint. Nice highlighting -- punchy and sweet metal-revealing scrapes without overdoing it.

So beautifully done, your attention to detail and choice of realism over rule-of-cool is something wonderful to see in the scratchbuilding/diorama scene. I don't mean for my next comment to be taken as criticism, but I feel like your attention to how the fine details fit together everywhere else makes it worth mentioning. I don't know what the larger surround of your diorama is supposed to be, but based on the use of brick cobbles and the exposed underground piping, I am going to assume it's some kind of city. You did a really terrific job of setting them into the ground, by the way. But, the sides of the polluted pool seem a little off if that is the context. Again, working from assumptions here, but the shape of the crater/pool seemed to imply that it came from a fairly recent subsidence or was due to some kind of mudslide. If it had been a bomb crater originally, the edges all being the same color would make more sense, but a section where the earth pulled away from itself would be likely to reveal the layering of the terrain underneath the surface. The structure underneath road areas tends to have multiple distinct layers. In a version of your piece with layering, they probably would have been shown via different colors of drybrushing. If you went for maximized detail, a small trim of greyish sand used as a stand-in for a granite fill-stone or gravel layer would have been perfect near the rim of the pool. Again, this is not meant as a criticism of the work you did do. It's a delight for the senses and hangs together with a consistency rarely seen. Your semi-autonomous walker design deserves wide reuse.

Awesome diorama! Love all the details. I agree that 3d printers have revolutionized the hobby. It’s a great tool to invest in as well as learning how to use something like Blender or Tinkercad.

I have been binge-watching your builds for the past couple of days, and they are glorious. I'm envious of your abilities. Something I have observed is that you use the foam pieces a lot for bases and such, and you use 5 minute epoxy, and PVA glue. I recently heard, from other builder channels, that there is a foam-safe super glue available. I assume you can get it in Australia as the majority of other supplies you have shown are used by the channels that use Foam-safe super glue (like You Tuber Boylei Hobby Time). I shall continue enjoying your artwork. 👍 Be Excellent to each other and Party on. 🤘😎🎸

@@ScaleModelGeek Here in the UK the models were rebranded by Revel and sold as Robotech. Wasn't until the dawn of the inter webs that I became aware of the actual source of the kits.

Excellent work all around! 3D Printing is a real model building game changer, where imagination really is the only limit. 100th like.

My own personal joke is that at 64, I'm too young to carve a model ID Spotter plane out of solid pine using templates, but too old to write code to 3D Print a model. So for me, it's styrene kits all the way . . . .

I just discovered your channel through this video and I'm glad I did, it was an amazing diorama. There is a channel called Boylei Hobby Time who does similar themed dioramas and has a nice technique for removing bubbles from resin pours using a crème brûlée torch.
