    Loved the idea of woman on her knees in pain. Beautiful, sad to see it abandoned, but that is how art goes. Great video as usual bloke.

    Looks amazing! I love the way you talk through your thought processes. You have also given me inspiration to try something similar. Cant wait for Part 2.

    Absolutely love watching your builds! And the fact that this one is in my favorite scale makes it even more exciting, cannot wait for the next part. Oh, and those MCU Falcon boots are perfect for sci-fi custom figures for sure.

    Thanks! Ah are they from the Falcon? Cool, I thought they were just generic scifi boots. They do look great.

    This is excellent. Love the use of the ball joints for a posable figure. The skeleton and overall concept looks great. I'm looking forward to where you take this, keep up the good work!

    It`s always a pleasure to watch your builds. This one has some kind of a gorilla- shape now because of the big arms. Perhaps you can also use joints of circles (for math)? They are quite small.

    Thanks very much. It'll start to look abit different as I build it out. It needs some armour panels and so forth :)

    When an engineer turns to scratch building or vice-versa? Your method intrigues me, and your patient problem solving especially along the time-axis ("I'll figure that out later") is an inspiration. Btw get a mold of those boots before you glue them in, the details look versatile and a dry-brushers dream! Cheers.

    Thanks! Yeah it does abit. It'll be abit taller once I've added the feet so it may lose some of that look as I go.

    There are many different types of Loctite, you know. The standard loctite 290 makes a good hard bond. I glued the bottom bracket of my roadbike with it. Screwed it in hand tight, literally by hand without tools, and it stayed so for years. I doubt your screws would come loose except you want them to.

    I must admit it's been about 14 years since I tried loctite previously, so I'm sure it's improved since then!

    Awe inspiring work as always Joe. I think it's great that you shared your initial design and explained your rationale for moving to a different idea. The articulation and overall shape language of your entry is mind blowing. Thank you for sharing all the steps you've taken to create such a wonderful piece of art. Can't wait to see the next video!

    Another Awesome build. Great job. I dig it. Have you ever tried apoxie sculpt? It sounds very similar to the free form stuff . It is amazing stuff and very hard and durable

  • @thedarkpower

    @thedarkpower

    2 жыл бұрын

    I have! I use it quite alot. It's a little easier to use actually as it's not so sticky. Apoxie sculpt is quite like Milliput. I'm not sure how well it'd work for larger items though, but it'd probably be fine.

    Thanks! :) I actually made a stop motion puppet out of one of those years back. It worked OK but it wouldn't hold it's pose very well, so I didn't want the same thing to happen here, hence the stop motion armature.

    Love the articulation on this one, it’s coming together great. One thing that I thought was that the finger tips look a bit large for this scale (and obviously the same as your earlier piece), have you thought about maybe claw tips or similar to maybe help with scale matching and differentiation from the other piece? Just something that popped in my head, certainly not a criticism, I do think it’s awesome already

    Thanks! I was thinking of Big Dog from Half Life 2 if you know it. That has oversized hands, so I'm going fir that kind of look :)
