The community part is the best part! But it's also hard for me, because my carnivore friends don't understand CIRS, no matter how much information I try to give them. If I mention in passing how swollen my fingers are, they want to give me the carnivore solution to that problem. If I say something about how much pain I'm in, they assume I'm new to carnivore, or if I say I've been carnivore for almost 2 years, then it's just "hang in there!" I can't afford to pay the monthly subscription fees for any of the CIRS groups out there, and the free ones on Facebook or other just don't get visited much. I'd love to have more opportunities to chat with CIRS experts, but for now, I have to save my $$ for my CIRS doctor.

Here's a deflection I used years ago with a busybody food-pusher: "It looks great! Maybe I'll have some later!" and change the subject. Unless it's somebody who's wanting to compliment you and sincerely (and privately) wants to know what you're doing to be looking so much better, etc., etc., etc., just deflect. They'll lose interest and move on. Works every time for me. [And of course, there's no "later" - you're just saying that so they won't bug you. If you go into these explanations, it becomes a challenge for some to trip you up and "convince" you to do what YOU know is not right for your body. DON'T ENGAGE.]

I think it’s hard for people to change to a carnivore way of eating if they come from a social life that revolves around food/eating. Our western culture does not ‘fit’ easily with carnivore, so it takes a mental reset to succeed. It also takes effort to home cook and have food on hand.

Bile salts and taurine are the kiss of death for me. I still have my gall bladder. I think I have the opposite problem: too much bile, not low bile production and flow. What's helped me with fat digestion is vitamin C. I also take betaine HCl for enhanced protein digestion.

I love how sensible you all are❣️ I really struggle on fully carnivore and it is challenging to hear certain carnivore profiles just keep repeating their mantra that all you need is meat, water and salt and everything would just magically heal. Well...not in my case! I've even ended up in the ER with really dangerous symptoms. I'm so grateful that you have more real life experience. I wish I could have you as a coach bcs I can't resolve my health issues on my own, but 23 years on disability has sadly left me bankrupt.😢

Hi Cammi. It’s great to see you watch and follow Judy’s content too. I get fed up with hearing that too. They can’t haven’t suffered like us health wise or if they have, they shouldn’t be adamant that it works for everyone and dismiss people for needing taking certain supplements or maybe add in something that isn’t part of the super strict carnivore club. Judy and her team are a breath of fresh air. X

@@MatthewL30 Hi Matthew! Nice to see you here aswell!🌞 Yes, absolutely...they have absolutely not suffered in the same way and they seem to struggle to understand that people actually can have difficulties on carnivore. Not bcs of the carnivore diet per se, but bcs of other factors. That's why I really like Judy and her team aswell, they have come across so many others than just the "halleluja"-cases so they have experience.😅

I am finding that oxalates are a big part of my struggle with Carnivore. I am trying to go down on them but if I go too low I have problems and if I put some back in I have problems. I lost about 30 lbs. when I first went on Carnivore and I felt great. About 4 months later I started dealing with oxalate dumping and have been struggling ever since for the past year and a half and have gained back 24 lbs. without changing my diet. I think my body is so acidic with the oxalate dumping that it can't keep the weight off. Judy could you do something on oxalates? Did you deal with this when you switched diets?

I think it's important to know what our trigger foods are and stay away from them. I don't get out to eat with company that often, but try to eat as best I can from what is available when I do. But, if there aren't many good options available, like Mexican, then I eat it and get back to my regimen the next day. But I have to be very careful with ice cream, cookies, etc. It can ruin my diet for weeks. Once I start it's hard to stop.

Carnivore people NEVER ADDRESS DETOXING. I have been a healer, folk healer, and shaman since the early 90s and on my own Self Healing journey. We DETOX in healing all four bodies equally and you will get sick (a detox) before you get better when you have a lot of detoxing to do in the four bodies (emotionally, mentally, soul, or physically).

I wish I could post a picture of my supplement stack, it looks cool, but after binging on carnivore content I feel a bit foolish. Sigh. For now I’m going to try and significantly up my meat consumption as I try to move towards the goal of becoming carnivore. I’m looking forward to not having a large supplement collection.
