The last scene should have been kept in as it would explain Regina’s character arc and how she changes by the end of the film. Also the scale scene should have stayed just because it was a clever trick that they played on Regina and I always wondered why Regina didn’t just connect the dots that she was gaining weight (according to the scales). That scene would have filled that plot hole.

I think all the deleted scenes except for the bathroom one were a very good decision to not be kept in. They were funny but one of the biggest compliments about this movie is that everything that happens (besides the scenes) could actually happen. The other scene where her teacher was like “YOUR PARENTS GOT EATEN BY CANNIBALS” was also a good choice to leave out because it interrupted the emotional and tense atmospyere

Regina was too big for the dress at 1-3-5, so at least they told us she’d lost weight. Dunno how to word this properly but I hope you get it 😅

She did notice the weight gain. When she didn't fit her Spring Fling dress she said to Cady, "All I've been eating are these Kalteen bars, they suck" but Cady tells her it's water weight and goes into a fake scientific explanation about water weight and burning carbs. It's a way funnier scene which wouldn't make sense if the scale scene was included.

She was weak, had no morals or spine. She wasn’t nice. She was a sad pushover who allowed Regina to be a monster.

i think the reason why the dollhouse scene didn't stay in the film is because regina doesn't really state how she's changed from being the person who threw the dollhouse so her cousin couldnt have it to the person who's willing to give up a boy he didn't like but was dating to a 'friend'. it explains her character BEFORE learning her lesson, but it doesn't make a point of her new self. if the last line had been 'but that's just over, i guess', instead of 'but thats just me!' perhaps it would actually have had a closure. tho i do agree that's a very explicit insight of a big part of regina's personality! maybe if gretchen or karen had told that to cady or to someone around the middle of the movie when cady was flirting with aaron so the subtext would be 'dont mess with regina's boyfriend or else HE will suffer' it would have had an actual point! either way, the metaphor is excellent :) i wish they had found a proper place to put it so it would have made the cut

Lunchroom scene - adds nothing that we don't already know about Regina and the plot to get back at her. Cut was deserved. Pulled pork - adds a hint of romantic interest between the faculty but mostly just adds humor. Cut is fine. Flossing the scale - addresses a plot hole. Should've been kept in! Aaron's laundry - adds some character development for Aaron plus some humor but with a homophobic slur. Cut is fine. Shoe shopping - funny but Cady's acting like a brat and we already saw that with the dinner table vase scene. Cut is fine. Party prep - funny but doesn't add much in terms of plot or characters. It was basically explaining how Regina is not used to liking/ accepting when other people take things that was once hers( in this case... Cady taking Aaron )

I love how it just goes from a nice teen comedy thoughtful movie to a dark humor flick

Same that’s the only one that fits the vibe of the movie

The Kalteen bar joke was great but I get why it was deleted. Cady going to visit Regina was the emotional catharsis of her character arc and the joke would have cut into those vibes.

these scenes completely change the audience's image of kady, damien and janis. They wouldn't be as likeable if these scenes made it... The last one with regina really humanized her though, kinda sad that one got cut.

“Mom y u gotta be so mean, I want these!!” Mom: u spoiled little brat!!!!

Omg that was so weird seeing Regina actually be nice in the last scene!

The scene with Mrs. George explaining the doctors gave them Kalteen bars and Regina screaming "NOOOOOO!" was SO funny!

They should’ve kept the dollhouse scene and the scale scene. The dollhouse scene would’ve perfectly explained how Regina miraculously changed and the scale scene would’ve explained how she literally didn’t notice she was gaining TONS of weight

They definitely made the right choice in cutting out the scene before Mrs Norberry's, disappointed, line. I think the bathroom scene, the car scene and Regina's house scene should all have been kept in.

The scale scene was good and the “I’ll like it this time” was so funny. The shoe thing was weird. Kelteen bars sounded like a wolf. I enjoyed the bathroom scene, it kinda puts her in a good spot “stop making this about you” and it kinda shows their connection and acceptance I thinks he should have got that.

If the first scene was actually played like that there wouldn’t be those iconic quotes and everything would of played out differently

Even the deleted scenes were better than *that* other movie. We don't speak of it's name.

Super cool that some of these scenes were important enough to be carried over to the musical, especially the bathroom confrontation scene it was one of my favorite parts when I went to go see the broadway version!

The last scene from the bathroom with Regina was re-used in the broadway musical!

That Calteen bar tho, and Regina’s reaction when she has to eat them xD

Omg the scenes when Regina reunion with kaitleen bars is so iconic.

I agree with keeping most of these scenes out, but the one with Karen and Gretchen is hilarious
