When this first started I was a little worried that this would be another cheesy high school version with flat notes and all that… but oh my this is honestly amazing!! Veronica’s actress is perfect for the role and takes her own spin on it. The rest of the cast really pull the show together and I’m jealous at how talented all of these people are!

Playing as the gay flag jd put in his pocket was one of the best possibl roles to be, thank you so much for all the love and support I really appreciate it. also I rly like how JD is portrayed as kinda incel-y and not like a coolguy through the show. Ik he’s portrayed as a bad person through all the shows but his actor rly puts on the PERFORMANCE to SHOW how shitty he is. SO GOOD

Really like how The Heathers and Veronica danced together during Big Fun. It makes her feel more like she is in the clique than the other productions.

it will never be the same... but after so many failed versions, this one has my blessing

Something interesting with the way JD is portrayed is how he hugs Veronica. Every time he hugs her he drapes himself on her to where she cant not hug back. Its very controlling and a nice touch.

This was absolutely amazing. EVERY SINGLE CHARECTER SLAYED SO HARD AND OMFG VERONICA AND MYTHIC BITCHES VOICE????!!!! HOLY SHIT

JD WAS PORTRAYED PERFECTLY! I love maniacal JDs since it captures his personality so well. I loved his range of dynamics, especially in Meant To Be Yours. I personally feel that his breathing for JD suits him better than recordings as his slight breathlessness adds to his sadistic excitement.

I have to give credit to not only the actors, but the band, performing an instrument live can sometimes be harder than singing and performing, in my opinion they did mess up quite a few times (I’m only half way through the opening number-) but for a local theatre to be performing this a live band isn’t even expected, normally there would be a backing track that the sound operator controls, although the use of trombone and trumpet is very extensive to what I have seen (about 6 mins in) and could definitely be dialled down a bit but it is still very impressive to have a live orchestra playing

thank you for this! i played heather duke and my boyfriend was playing the drums in this. it was so insanely hard to overcome how loud the band could get at times with so many mic inputs and speakers so thank you! the band worked really hard

Thought this was just gonna be another one of those corny ones with bad censoring. But no! Everyone did so great! First time I’ve seen anyone other than Barrett nail those notes! Great job to everyone! I hope that my school does this musical this upcoming year. Everyone in this video has a bright future ahead of them.

I will say i appreciate how in this version right before dead girl walking, this veronica kept the idea that she had gotten drunk where magically in the off-broadway version she wasnt. excellent work in getting those small details nailed down :)

Thank you for the positivity! I played the mattress at 39:41 and I couldn’t be happier to be apart of this! The brick, the lunch tray in beautiful, and the dust particle at 32:13 were all amazing! Everyone did great!

What an awesome show! You can tell that these folks have real passion for what they do because you can feel their performances. The Heathers…the revolving locker wall, Veronica Sawyer, Kurt and Ram, Martha, …EVERYONE brought their A-game and created something wonderful! :)

I'm enjoying this! I specially love JD and Heather Duke's performances! JD is so charming and the little changes with how he answers Ram & Sweeney were good . With Heather Duke I really like the way her dynamic with Chandler is shown, like you can see her being hurt by it and how she's on the bottom in the trio which makes it all the more interesting when she takes Heather Chandler's place (this is something that was in the movie but that I don't usually see in the musical apart from the 'shut up heather line').

I loved this and think everybody did great. While the horns struggled a bit, they (and all the other instruments) still deserve an applause because i imagine it’s hard playing live.

Veronica's vocals are everything

This is probably my favorite JD, just the right balance of you could almost understand him and then you see what's lurking underneath it all. Brilliant!

this is 100% my favorite version of Dead Gay Son. The way he did "IN THE SUMMER OF '83" hits so hard, and the way he said "one hell of a fishin' trip" is MUCH better that the official recording

the first of... many. Only redeeming qualities which arent even that redeeming, he was decent at first, he is decently smart as he murdered 3 people, along with manipulation, and he is also pretty good looking, which is subjective. Red flags: He murdered, he ignored veronica, he is a creep to veronica, he is literally a terrorist, he is a hypocrit, etc.

I didn’t actually expect the dead girl walking acting to be so good! I thought they’d try and be conservative about that, amazing!

this is the first version of this i ever watched, and everyone was so good that none of the other performances i’ve seen stand up to this one.
