Yup Ive been bullied before when I worked in Malaysia as an OFW>>Overseas Filipino Worker. After a year of working I was assessed by my boss and got an 88% grade with one step increased in salary and level grade but to my surprised, one of my co worker who got 75% grade with a three step salary and level grade even he worked ineffective. So what I did was that I enquire to the HR Manager on what was the basis of assesment to an employee and the answer I received was. If Iam not happy the way they assess me was that I can file my resignation. The following day is that I file my resignation. with a letter saying As adviced by the HR Manager I hereby tender my resignation effective immediately today. And you know, what happen. All department head was shocked and surprised with my direct to the point resignation. 😉😉

Best to divert the bully somewhere else. Having a light hearted approach works. Main rule. Don't gang up on others when the bully is making jokes about them. Make it obvious that you don't think it is funny. No point in going to HR. It creates trouble, breaks trust and they already know anyway. Remember that bullies can change later! I have often seen it.

@@ydcee3123 How come? It is generally best from my point of view to avoid complaining. In a work situation, the bully is often in a managerial position, and HR will support them. To my mind, like with war, peace and compromise is best. In my experience, bullies respect people who are diplomatic and read the situation well. As an older person, respect is all important - and trust too.

Problem with family being fired is the greater possibility of extreme retaliation. After all, they're family and thus can get close or have resources in place to do the job for them. He'd do it in such a way its not connected to him, he'll inherit the company, quash the harassment case, eventually fire the two women or make their lives a living a living hell to force them to quit on their own.

Only in a fantasy would the harasser apologize. the only thing that seemed realistic is that he wasn't fired for sexual harassment. They tried to make a point of the son not being above punishment yet he was allowed to come back to work after it was proven. If it was another man he'd be fired rightfully so. Sexual harassers shouldn't be allowed to come back and work with their victims. If I was her I would have sued.
