Thank you for this video. Every bit of info is appreciated. I am in the process of building a small scale meal worm farm. I have all the pieces, but no "livestock" yet. I am going to try to do a "self cleaning" system. Right now my problem is finding the right tool to cut into the plastic bins so I can put the screen on.

I was thinking about that. Not sure I have a plug in one. Found an old Radio Shack battery operated one, but don't know if it works. I'll have to put some batteries in it and give it a shot. Thanks for the confirmation of my thoughts! ;)

We have used potatoes, cacti and green peppers (only use this with large populations they will eat it within a couple hours). The cacti are from the produce store it is seasonal.

Carrots work best for me as I have just started my farm with 50 worms. The carrot does not mold before it is eaten or dried out.
