Meagan Good Talks Tyler Perry Pay, Divorce From DeVon Franklin, Jonathan Majors And Katt Williams

Multi-talented actress Meagan Good joins Shannon Sharpe at Club Shay Shay for a candid and gripping conversation. She opens up about her tumultuous journey growing up and navigating the entertainment industry. Meagan shares an intense story from her time on a Nickelodeon show, detailing how a fight escalated into a dangerous brawl, making her question her actions and seek peace.
Meagan discusses facing racism at school and being unfairly targeted by teachers. She also shares the emotional impact of losing possessions given to her by her father, who had a background in the LAPD.
Reflecting on her acting career, Meagan talked about her early roles in the cult classic "Friday" and working with icons like Chris Tucker and Ice Cube. She also shared valuable advice from Michael Clarke Duncan about treating everyone on set with respect.
Despite numerous challenges and tough choices, Meagan underscores the importance of authenticity and not compromising oneself for success. She highlights her resilience, the lessons she’s learned, and the meaningful relationships she’s built throughout her life and career.
Celebrating 30 years in the business, Meagan expresses gratitude and hope for 30 more years, emphasizing the importance of love and support in her journey. She shares stories about her experiences as a young black actress in a predominantly white industry.
Meagan also recounted facing intense pressures on set, including a difficult experience with a director that almost made her reconsider her acting career. This moment, however, reinforced her determination to succeed.
Throughout the conversation, Meagan’s resilience shines as she speaks about her mother’s wisdom, God’s guidance, and the significance of humility and confidence. She recounts her growth in the industry and her determination to be recognized for her talent.
In this interview Meagan also touches on her experiences with homeschooling due to her acting career, the guidance she received from industry veterans, and her decision to focus on movies over TV shows to explore diverse characters. Despite the adversities, Meagan’s journey is a testament to her strength and the valuable lessons she’s learned along the way.
Join Shannon Sharpe and Meagan Good in this heartfelt and inspiring conversation, celebrating her incredible career and the strength she’s shown in overcoming obstacles and staying true to herself.

I met Meagan at the cheesecake factory at the grove in LA. She was the sweetest person I'd ever met. I was struggling with suicidal thoughts at that time and nobody in my life knew it. She prayed for me and no joke I felt the demons tormenting me raddle and shake. On my way home I felt those demons leave me. I've never once struggled with anxiety or suicidal thoughts ever since that day. So thankful to have met her. It was nobody but God. Thank you Meagan for being available to God and hearing from Him to pray for me and being used by Him to deliver me. To say I greatly appreciate you is an understatement. I pray you're blessed 1000x what I was that day. 🙏🏿❤️

I met her once 10 years ago in an Atlanta club. We were in the same section, so I decided to approach her because I truly loved her as an actress. I very discreetly asked her if she was Meagan Good and she said yes! Discovering that, I was so excited inside but I could tell she wanted to stay lowkey so I basically left her alone. As the club was closing and everyone was walking out, she was about to walk past me and I asked to take a picture with her. Not only was she down to take the picture but she thanked me for providing her that discretion of not letting others know she was there and that sometimes she just wants to feel like everyone else and have a good time. Truly a beautiful and humble person!

So I slightly say, “Meagan Good?” while looking in her direction and she smiled and said, “Yes, what is your name?” I said, “James”. I remember her saying, “Hi James. It’s nice to meet you.” I wanted to capture that moment, but the moment was so quick, unexpected, and authentic, I couldn’t bring myself to ask. 🙏🏽

This intriguing video serves as a poignant reminder of the heartache I've been enduring since my 5-year relationship came to an end 3 months ago. My cherished partner, the love of my life, made the difficult decision to part ways, leaving me consumed by thoughts of her. Despite my earnest attempts to win her back, I find myself facing frustration and an overwhelming sense of emptiness, unable to envision a life without her presence. Despite my efforts to move on, I'm compelled to confess my lingering feelings and longing for her here.

I got to work with her for a few weeks on a show she directed and was so impressed by how cool and poised she is. Literally the first thing she did was walk up to every person working the show introduce herself, asked us what we did and thanked us for being there. She was literally super friendly, professional and receptive to ideas that helped the show progress. Being a living legend Meag definitely didn't have to be that way. Protect her at all cost!!

I didn't realize Meagan was such a genuine and grounded person. I adore her honesty and maturity. I was not prepared for this interview.

I wish more Hollywood stars could be like her. I always thought she was very humble, laid back, and respectful-a lover of God! She's a sweet soul who loves God and life. ❤

Made me tear up a little bit I never heard him explain the name of his cognac. So sweet Great interview, I love how she broke down the way she steps into a character. She’s seems like sweet and genuine person. Love me a Leo

Shannon does interviews very well. Every five seconds, he let her talk without interrupting. In a time when everyone believes their opinions are more significant than others, that is refreshing.

She is a prime definition of a class act. Even as a guy, I’ve learned so much in this interview on how to treat everyone the same and also keeping the faith. Thank you so much Shannon for doing this interview with Megan. It was needed.🦋
