    Many thanks. Nice and simple but looks great. I’d be interested on how you would change this for 3D printed stuff. Layer lines and washes don’t like each other.

    I do the same for my 3D prints but do a very generous spray layer. So that it helps get rid of the worse. Once you have the exaggerated shading in the corners etc the lines don’t show as much. I’ll try and paint some more soon and do a video on jt

    In the first part of this tutorial, it ended with all the extra detail finished, and this video starts with the terrain already primed. I might have missed it, but did you use something to seal the MDF before priming or did you go straight on with the primer? I've just ordered a ton of TTCombat terrain for a Necromunda table but have never painted MDF before and there is a raging debate in the hobby on how best to / whether you should seal the MDF first. Would love to know what you did on this kit!

    Hi! Did you watch part 1 about the build and texture stage? The primed minis I show at 1:00 are with the colours shown at the front, the dark tones that I talked about for contrast. These are just graffiti art paints. They’re not water based so the MDF doesn’t swell up and come In many colours. Alternatively the new TTC (made since the video came out) are amazing for MDF by design. If you use a traditional primer then yea, a seal of PVA does help but a TTC or graffiti paint you can just go straight onto the MDF. My additional building steps and painting steps will definitely bring out the best in the terrain. Especially all dirty for Necromunda

    @@rokminis59 Thanks for the quick reply! I did watch part 1 but must have missed where you talked about this. Which new TTC product are you refering to? Their primer spray cans? If so, they're only available in the UK and I'm in the EU.

    Ah right in that case Montana/Kobra/Molatov spray paints are the ones. That brown start point is just a single coat, no sealing needed

    @@rokminis59 Montana is made in Germany which is where I live and I can get cans for quite cheap, so that's great news! Do you know if it can also be used on plastic / resin minis as a primer? Because that would save me sooooo much money!

    What color green oil paint are you using ? Olive or sap green

  • @rokminis59

    @rokminis59

    It’s Terre Vert from Windsor and Newton but I honestly think Sap Green is about the same. Olive green would work if you have it it’ll just be closer to brown so you could make your main wash closer to black and get that contrast still

    looks great mate, but i'm guessing you have been buying your spray paint from a arts and craft shop. Montana Black, or Gold for that matter in places like that is massively overpriced. look at places like Graffcity or Alfreshco and look at Montana 94 or Loop. Both brands have huge colour ranges and technical ranges as well, both are low pressure so are easy to use for people who don't know how to use spray paint properly. Also look into the different caps out there. most stock caps are shit and will block after one use. love your content, and keep up the good work.
