I have the same tote and purchased it a few years ago. I questioned the quality in the beginning but as the bag got older I loved it. I feel like it gave a more vintage look as it aged. This was a great review! Thanks for sharing ❤️

I purchased the black one last year and was very underwhelmed at the price point. I decided to keep it and over time it looks better. Just decided to turn it inside out and I love the pattern. Great review, I'm a new subbie, enjoyed your review of the Marc Jacobs small tote! I definitely will be purchasing one in brown. Blessings to you!

You are absolutely right! I purchased MCM liz cognac years ago and loved the thickness and feel of the bag as well as the pouch. Then I had to purchase another one last year because my bag was stolen. And when I got the new tote I was so upset. The new bags felt cheap. So I ordered another liz from bloomingdales. The one from bloomingdales felt better then the one I ordered directly from Mcm. So I returned it and kept the second one I ordered. Still does not feel as good as the one I had before but I use my old pouch with the replacement so its not too bad.

Hi! I am your new subscriber. I just went through the same feelings as you. However, after much research, calling MCM stores and calling their corporate I decided to purchase the new version Black Medium Liz Shopper. I learned that MCM is now producing ECO bags which do not hurt the environment. They told me the previous Shopper was made of Petroleum. The new bags are vegan with no Petroleum. They are also lightweight. The older bags are heavier and no longer made. By the way, the gold piece was not actual gold even though many of their employees thought it was. I did in-depth researched and a video on this topic several years ago which was authenticated by MCM Corporate verifying my information. I am uninformed as to the gold piece on the new MCM Eco bags. I will look into that. That should be interesting. I totally understand how you feel especially since you have a gorgeous Anya Tote to compare it too. I hope I like the Shopping en route to me. That bag is the Anya visetos.I have it in metallic rose gold. And the reason why it feels funny on the other bag is because it’s coated canvas not leather . But the handles and trimming is Napa leather which is a good quality leather. Thanks for your video you have lovely bags .

I’m so obsessed with the canvas I purchased in 2017. I hate they changed the material…😩 Question: Did yours initially come hard like this? & did it soften at all? I second Real Bougie Diva's question. Did yours soften up? I bought the black one from Bloomingdale's last month and thought it was fine until I bought the Cognac one pre-loved from Poshmark and the pre-loved one is so much nicer! I'm totally conflicted as to whether to keep the new one!

Yes, I was amazed of the feeling of the leather myself. I thought it was a knock off bag. However, examining the stiching, zipper, plate, and MCM logos, I knew it was real. It looks better reversible. This Reversible Large MCM can not be used frequently because of the quality. I am going to call to find out why and what happen. I agree the previous MCM tote bags have a better leather quality, which is excellent and durable. I am going keep mine, but some people are going look at the quality and feel and think it's fake. Thank you for your video.

it's not leather it's coated canvas.. the handles/straps are nappa leather. The bag is 3x coated canvas. It's softer than Louis Vuitton & Gucci's canvas.

This wasn’t a soft feeling canvas to me😩 I’m going to get a different bag, but this one wasn’t it…the bottom felt like straight cardboard🥺 I love MCM, but not this one. 🙃Thanks for watching Queen! 💖

Napa leather is high quality leather. A lot of leather coats are made of Napa leather. It’s usually softer. It may be the MCM Monogram that’s changing the texture.

Yes, I’ve definitely felt and seen the Napa leather before but never experienced this type of feeling. 🥺

I have it in red, black, pink and cognac, all in medium. Absolutely love them. More comfortable than my Neverfull. 2nd to my Gucci Ophidia! Nice video. BTW, they don’t sell your tote any longer, they have a new version with a zipper that does not come with a separate pouch, and the canvas is rough. I’m gifting it to my daughter.

The bags are coated canvas with leather trimming(straps, etc). . The coated canvas is different on the newer shopper bags (thinner) but the older shopper bags are not all leather either (just the trim). Their shopper bags are made of coated canvas with leather trim.
