Its a useful checklist of the areas of consideration for running or developing an organisation, but there's a truck-load of work under each heading. As McKs say, its a 'framework' not a solution. I wonder why 'staff' and 'skills' are separated; the only thing that counts is the skills your staff have, or the 'capabilities' of the organisation. I guess 5 S and1 C is not as snappy. Likewise Style and Shared Values collapse into 'culture'. That is, the shared assumptions and practices regarding roles, responsibilities, rights and relationships (the four Rs). So really, its 3 Ss and 2 Cs. Mintzberg's 5 aspects of strategy, and his 'structure in fives' book throw in some clarity about those two topics.
Does thiese also apply for key accounts management or sales?
hi this vidoea helped me alot as a student got a exam for this tommorow where by i will be tested on this so you got any final advice on this topic
Thanks. Do you apply all seven S criteria to each of the five steps? Is that how it works?

Not really. You specify where you are right now for all 7 S. Then you specify where you want to be for all 7 S. That's steps 1+2, then the final three steps are all about creating and executing your plan to get you to where you want to be (step 2)

@@epm8805 Thanks. I'm looking more deeply into this. BTW. I'm a photographer who is reinventing his business along sound lines this time. As a result, I'm consuming the marketing theory and practice like a python swallowing a goat. Gulp!
Hi. How do you say that Staff is not aligned in the current situation.. One may say the same about all other aspects. For example, we don't have the right leadership style for the current demand. Or that the skills are enough but not for the current demand. Or are you assuming that the first problem is hiring and once they are hired, then all that gap that is there in other aspects is misaligned in the 2nd sheet? This is what your 2 worksheets are pointing towards.
Why is the shared value last on the list?
👍
A worked example would be useful
Exemplary explanation
9:28 Disadvantages section outlines "It needs to support of senior management" which doesn't make sense and misspells "focused"
