The thing is when they threatened you with consequences in regards to certain answers that they want to hear out your mouth and you tell them what they want to hear just so you wont have to deal with the consequences they presented to you in the beginning. Because if they ask any questions its for a reason and to strengthen their case. That's why they say anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. So basically people saying he should of accepted any consequence they offered him rather than telling them what they wanted to hear regardless if they already knew or not.
