For real. I'm blown away that Justin and Travis either pretended not to know, or (unbelievably) they actually didn't know about "Sandstorm."

Not even 5 minutes in and both Travis and Justin are down like 60 points each. You don't get to be as old as you are and wiff a Darude Sandstorm reference.

Travis and Justin were 17 and 20 when Sandstorm came out. It is physically impossible for them to not know it.

They really must have just barely been too old for Darude. Just barely missed it. I think if you tell anybody the wish, it's a similar rule to birthday wishes, but not the same result. Like.. you can't tell anybody, and if you do, the wish modifies. For birthday wishes, it just doesn't come true. But with a Fungalore wish, it turns into a Monkey's Paw style of wish. You're getting dead parents in exchange for massive wealth, you're getting zombie turkey in your perfect sandwich, you're losing your legs so that you can "retire" at age thirty. Basically, you foul the wish. Fungalore adheres to wisher-wizard confidentiality, and he requires that you do, too.

Public schools seem exactly incompetent enough to plan a special event for 5:30 am. Like, my family has a term for this, we call it "Normal School Fuckup". About every week or two, one of these comes out of our school district: something ridiculous, lame, inconvenient, awkward, not fully thought through, politically correct, etc.
