MBMBaM 683: Cool Ranch for Drama, Nacho Cheese for Comedy

Комедия

We’d like to take a moment to sincerely apologize for the excruciating and honestly impressive detail, contained within this episode, concerning instruction on how to savor a certain fancy chocolate snack. We also thought about apologizing to our fantastic guestpert Felicia Day for a gross episode, except that she does offer advice about the intersection of IBS and therapy.
Suggested talking points: Gross Nation Pee-Pee Vitamins, Go Woke Go Broke Dad, The Ferrero Rocher Ceremony, Fifth Wing Fancast, Bespoke Tater Tot Container

some weird intermittent lack of audio after the "justin shits himself on the way to wendys" starting around @53:40 , tragically making griffin's "I've borne witness" utterly contextless

4:00 I’m so proud that Philly made such an impression. I was at the live show and it was amazing. I never felt more connected to a Philly audience then at that very moment.

I eat them layer by layer 😅 But being autistic, I've always disassembled my food and eaten the individual ingredients, just like Susie Derkins

Wait that's an autism thing wait I've taken my subway sandwiches apart every day of my life but I'm diagnosed with ADHD am I autistic too or is it an overlap symptom????

@@KaizerHiwatari I'm diagnosed with ADHD as well as ASD1, but my understanding is that because it's a preferential sequential consumption of favorite ingredients in a sandwich (I do the same thing with Subway sandwiches btw, especially with the tuna sub), it's my autism. Kind of how I'll sort my candy by color/flavor, then consume from least to most liked. Or whenever I get a Whopper from Burger King, I order it heavy all (extra everything) and then eat a bunch of toppings before eating the burger. There's a ton of overlap between ADHD and ASD, so it's entirely possible you have both. I didn't get diagnosed as autistic until my mid-40s, but was diagnosed with ADHD in my 20s (and then again right before my ASD1 diagnosis).

I was playing the sims and listening to this ep when Justin's Wendy shit story started. I just want to say that you're so brave Justin, I also shat myself in the car and changed my pants in a Wendy's bathroom. It was the first time we had road tripped to the united states as a family and my stomach was just not sitting right with me. I was about 12. I remember being on the highway, rain pouring, my poor mom trying to navigate around transport trucks, and me panicking that I'm going to shit my pants. And of course, my sister laughing...Just chaos. I ememberpulling into that truck stop and my mom actually seeing a colleague of hers who was going to the same convention centre as we were. I was praying she didn't walk up to the car window. lol my mom probably was too. At some point I changed my pants in a Wendy's bathroom. I'm not proud of this experience but I have so much sympathy for pants shitters I had to comment. I know the humilation

I find the video clips you put out to be subversive. I love your show, but I honestly don't have a lot of time for all the content that is available today. I saw a clip in shorts with a guest in this episode, and upon feeling I wanted to listen to the whole episode and conversation in its context, so I come here to the episode. I'm a little disappointed that the episodes are apparently recorded for video clips, but not for the big episode. I totally get that this is probably for a multitude of reasons, editing cost, personal make-up and/or feeling like always needing to be seen, etc. Now, I don't expect you to shift your enterprise to satisfy just me, and I know that your content grew out of an audio only format. For example, I'm not demanding for NPR to suddenly become a video focused service. But it's still, none the less, a bummer. I love the edited content like this show, but I like seeing your faces like in the streams (although in general, I dislike watching live streams).
