Hilarious. BTW - 5 years later - running fine.

I had the dryer for over two years then nothing! The top section does not come on but the light inside. I was told it is a control panel and cost about $500 to fix and install. I will never purchase a Maytag again.

Geoff Boltach I agree. Mine is five years old and after a power blip the light will come on but will not start. Replaced the thermal fuse but found the original was not defective. F11 codes point to M/Bs not talking to each other. One board is $280 and with a service call it will be over the cost of a new one. Bye Bye Maytag!!!

Geoff, I have a good appliance store at the end of my street that I will talk to tomorrow. Although the F11 code points to the motherboards, it's a lot of money to put out on a hunch, when the part is non returnable. Will let you know what happens. BTW there is a simple Samsung on sale at BESTBUY for less than $500.

The repair clinic will allow you to return the part if it does not work. I had to return the first motherboard because it was actually the one on the panel.
