This is my favourite live performance ever. Maynard’s vocals in this are nuts.

When Maynard contorts his body like that he's physically contracting and expanding his diaphragm for different tones. You need to listen to Invincible very soon.

I usually can’t stand watching reaction videos but yours was FIRE 🔥🔥🔥🔥 … So much gratitude for Tool-spectfully choosing not to interrupt that beautiful piece of art!! And each time you listen to a song again … you’ll hear yet another layer you never heard before. I’ve been listening for 30 years and I’m still pulling new sound layers outta those tracks! NO ONE WILL EVER BEAT TOOL! They’re a gift from the geometric greatness of this universe! ♥️

This is prime example of their immense power, no-one can replicate this! How would you have liked to be in that crowd?? Life changing for many I'd say...

If you want to see a more modern video. There is the Non-existent DVD video of JAMBI. It is a compilation concert clips from around 2015 with the actual album recording over the top. So it isn't live but it shows a more modern look of a show. Maynard no longer stands out in front. He goes to either side, in the back, and usually in the dark. He tries to be just one of the instruments. Check it out. Great song also.

They will announce the second leg of the tour (in 2024) in a few months... So it will be interesting to see what cities get picked

I drove from Ga to Wisconsin to see Tool. So absolutely worth traveling even out of state to see them.

Tool is #1 🤘🌀 honestly don’t worry abt pausing the video. I actually prefer to hear your thoughts during the video. As long as you go back 10-15 seconds after unpausing, you should be good 👍

Tool is an experience.

When you see Tool live you want to keep seeing them 😊

If anyone is curious about his dressing in drag; Maynard was sent to live with his dad in Scottville Michigan when he was 11. The Scottville clown band is a major thing in our tiny little town and have been preforming in drag since 1903! When I see him in these outfits i'm sure that was an influence.

For Total Pure Raw Talent and Legendary Masterpieces Tool and Led Zeppelin are the Masters, IMO!

there are 2 must watch live recordings, 1st is 92' jc dobbs (video)before they blew up and 98's kalamazoo the best sounding (no video) bootleg recording slightly less then this but awesome on its own.

FYI, Maynard was born in Ohio but moved to Scottville, Michigan after his mom’s stroke to live with his dad. He also attended college in Grand Rapids.
