Don’t be so hard on yourself, Abby! Life has been busy and exhausting and some books you just have to be in the right headspace to get into.

Girl, give yourself some grace!! So long as you are just having fun with your reads, there is zero pressure to read faster/more than is comfortable. I hope you enjoy the home time this month ;) Looking forward to your thoughts on the books you get to, happy reading 🥰

I’ve been struggling to read and hardly have in April. I think a LOT of people are a bit slumpy or are unable to to get into the books they’re reading so you’re not alone. Hopefully May will be a better month and you get in some reads you’ll enjoy and are able to become invested in 🤞

April really was a tiring month, we desperately need some warmer weather. I hope May is a bit more relaxing for you

did you just say 100km bike ride?!! 😮 i really enjoyed funny story. took it out of the delivery pouch, wanted to read the first chapter before putting it away.. and just couldn’t stop reading. i hope you’ll enjoy it, too! the tote is fab! thanks again for inspiring me to read poison study. i really enjoyed the first 3 books. didn’t quite get how the romance subplot came to be, but that’s okay. everything else is really good and i had such a great time reading it. just started with book 4. hope you’re having a fantastic may, abby! happy reading! 💜

i know the feeling, april has been cold here and i have also been too tired of work to read. But may shapes up to be a great month ! i am going on holidays (and i tend to read on holidays a bit, atleast on long flights ) . i'm not sure yet what i will pick up, i'm halfway through the greenbone saga but i have gotten a bit in a slump with it so i will take a break from it. i feel like something YA-like, not too complicated and reads like a breeze, my picks are : the winternight trilogy, the throne of glass , sword of kaigen or some discworld books :) ps dont be too hard, you are still one of my inspirations to read more and watch less, everyone goes through a slump, its ok:)

The weather does not want to warm up! We had a brief moment of sun yesterday morning then it was back to rain. The Greenbone saga is amazing but I definitely relate to sometimes needing a compulsively readable bingeable book

I'm also hoping to read Funny Story in May, I requested it from my library thinking it would take ages for the hold to come in... turns out it's available now 😂 so I'm gonna use it to break up my fantasy reading this month!

The storm light audiobooks are amazing. I always have an audiobook going on my commute. I'm about to re-read Rhythm of War as well Hopefully before the new book. Great video thanks for putting in the time!

I have been thinking of getting the audiobook to immersion read them to help me along a bit. I like audiobooks for rereads but struggle on a first read through

Don't beat yourself up about not reading much in April it doesn't matter. You must have been exhausted. I havent read the 4th Veronica Speedwell book yet. I'm currently working my way through Phil Rickmans Merrily Watkins series and im on book 4. Interested to hear your views on Book of night. Great video Amy. Be kind to yourself and take care.😊

I read And I Darken a few years ago. I liked the book but I didn’t want to continue with the series. I think I felt the book was for a younger audience. It is an easy, short read, If you decide to read it it won’t take you long to finish it.

That's my expectation for it that it might read too young for me now...I still plan to give it a try at least and easy enough to put it down if it's not working for me
