May seems like a wonderful person. Always has been and remains so. She was beautiful of course, looks "exotic," but once she begins speaking you immediately realize she's a New Yorker through and through, in the best sense of the word. She may have been 110 lbs. soaking wet, but I don't think she was intimidated by JL or anyone. I'm sure she doesn't think in pyschobabble jibberish either. A small Asian girl doesn't thrive in Spanish Harlem by being a weakling. What a treasure JL let slip away.

Yes that's true. May loved him and love him today. May is a good soul. Never asked anything from John exceot basic needs. She could have told hjm to divorce Yoko, marry her and raised Julian too. She was only 21 then. She never took advantage of him and his famous friends. She wS close to those superstars and celebrities of the 60s,

I think John was truly happier with May ! His creativity was greater when he wasn't with Yoko also.

May Pang has a sweet soul. That sweetness comes out when she smiles. That smile would have made me drop to my knees and ask her to marry me. I was still a baby when she was in the clubs. Older women I love.

I read her book and have heard so e of her interviews- she seems like a sweet & normal lovely woman. They look so happy.

I understand why John loved Asian women. May Pang was so beautiful.

John and May looked so nice as a couple. Not so much with Yoko.

The whole Yoko, May and John saga was extremely bizarre and I don’t think anyone is ever going to understand it nor want to !!!!!!

Well, I want to understand it, but we'll never really know or fully understand people's intimate relations. I'd have preferred John remained with May, but as a John fan, I only want him to be with who he most desires. And that is with Yoko. Who knows how long they would've remained together. He may have gone back to May, in the end. Well never know. Sean's a good man though, and John would've been proud of both of his boys.

I think May Pang is cute.

John looks very happy and relaxed with May. Not at all like someone who you would want for no apparent reason to bash their &^%$# brains in as he did with Yoko.

She played on his insecurities, as lost his mother when young, and she hypnotised him to call her mother. When he was with May he started to ignore Yoko's calls, then Yoko told him she saw a hypnotherapist to give up smoking and he should have it done too, then he was acting strange for a while before he went back to Yoko.

I love Cynthia and John the most and believe she was the real love of his life (he wanted to go back to her but Yoko stopped him) however if I had to choose between Yoko and May, I'd pick May any day. May was kind and gentle and she reunited John with his son, Julian (after Yoko tried keeping him away from his son and told him he can't see Julian) and put him on good terms with Cynthia and Cyn even liked May too, they became great friends. I believe Cynthia and May were the ones who made him happy, not Yoko.

I think May Pang was more down-to-earth than Yoko is all. Class wise Yoko and John had more in common. May was more working-class like the other Beatles and the people he liked to run with. John Lennon wasn't hung on hooks and he could pretty much have whomever he wanted. Both women belong to a very exclusive club.

@@alicequayle4625 He wasn't poor. He was raised by his Aunt Mimi in Woolton an affluent suburb of Liverpool. So yes he was from a posh background perhaps not as posh as Yoko's but no slouch. Of the 4 of them, Ringo is truly the self-made man. He was already heading there even before the Beatles.

May is still a most beautiful woman.

He was rather childish at times, but I don't doubt that he knew what he was doing (for better of for worse). He was probably doing what he felt most comfortable with, people are like that, and that's understandable. People have tried so hard to explain John's feelings for Yoko. It's as simple as she just grabbed his attention in a way no other women did, that she was bold with him and sort of took care of him. I that's where it came from. I may be wrong, but yeah.

And May is a nice person. I just feel bad for Julian really.

Looks like it. On his Facebook Neil Sedaka refers to Lennon as his friend, and wrote a moving song for him called The Immigrant. Lennon was very touched when Sedaka called him to say the song was about him.

Having read Patties book I thought how could any woman allow her self respect to be taken away in the way that it was UNTIL I read Mays, the poor girl was used and abused (mentally) by both John and Yoko thankfully they both survived ,the sad thing is given the opportunity they would do it all again and they are not alone

May was prettier than yoko, but innocent I'd say. Yoko was an artist, she connected with john in a way that no one else could. I think john would have gotton bored with May rather quickly.

à mon humble avis, Yoko a rendu John très parano, très suspicieux...à la limite de l'hermite. Je ne dit pas que la période avec May Pang était idéale pour John, vue ses nombreuses sorties éclatantes, mais ça lui a permis de renouer un peu avec son garçon Julian...Yoko n'a jamais permis que cette relation père/fils puisse éclore...John Lennon aurait été bien différent sans Yoko...Aurait-ce été pour le mieux ??
