from overseas, thank you very very much Ronny and keep up your wonderful reviews. Proud to be your fan.
Good to see reviews on the less mainstream brands , theres already thousands of reviews on BFGs, coopers, Mickey thompsons etc so thanks for the review Ronnie
I have been running Maxxis Razrs on my 80 series for a little over 1 year and agree they do have a memory to some degree, I have experienced a flat spot/ out of balance maybe 4 or 5 times at highway speeds, for maybe 5 to 7 KMs then it disappears. Fairly quiet for an agressive tread pattern. I definitely recommend these tyres.
Your tyre reviews are second to none cheers
I learned so much from this guy in there past year. I may try these tires. So far it's the only MTs the offer 40k miles warranty
I put a set of these on my Rocky in 32".. They've been awesome so far with a mix of driving on all terrains
Awesome honest review thank you. Im about to buy a set of these and will get them happily now. Also learnt somthing new about that flat spot you mentioned. I get that in my current tyres somtimes and have always wondered what it was. 👍
I'm currently using the RAZR's, love them. Not an issue to date. I've had other A brands in the past, and although they too, are good in most circumstances, I have found the RAZR's to be on top of the heap. But that's just my opinion on my vehicle.
Great Vid Ronny. Hope you are having fun in Muddy Moab -- cheers Mike
Greatly appreciate the honest review! I’m gonna get a set.
I just ordered yokohama geolander mt G003, they look like they'll work very well offroad, installing them next week
Patagonia milestar mt tires. I am a pipeline in the US and they work well in all types of situations. On my second set now. I got over 50,000 miles on the first set. I drive a Ford F-150. I also had a set on a Dodge Ram 2500. Got about the same mileage on that set.
Got new 35s for my 88 Hilux, love everything about them. Best overall in my opinion, so far!
Although they got discontinued. I loved my Hurucles Trail Digger MT's. They did me well, even tons of highways. Even speeds over 100mph+.
I'd love to try these out on my 79.
As for balancing, I highly recommend balance beads or if you're cheap like me, airsoft pellets... they'll always be in the right place even if the tire turns 183* on the rim lol I even use them for my road vehicle with no issues
Thanks for the review. Maxxis Bighorn was one of the best tires I have ever ran. Numerous trip to Death Valley and zero failures. Despite a nasty rip in the sidewall, it still got me back home. I can't find any more of those Bighorns in town so I'm considering the Razr.

Thanks for the honest reviews!! Would love to hear your thoughts on the Yokohama Geolander G003 MT. Seems to get good reviews so far and supossed to be quiet!!?
So far i love these tires. Only have a few thousand k on them. They aren't loud on the road considering the aggressive tread. They dont feel like the tire rolls when cornering. And so far so good off road.
Ronnie great tyre review. Regards balancing, have heard of Dyna Beads? They're used to balance your tyres without weights on the wheels.
Thank so much Ronny I'm actually waiting on a set to get in the country for my Colorado.. glad to hear they are honestly very good
I like your tire reviews, I like that I dont have to wait forever to see them, you put the tires through there paces faster than most. I have heard some buzz on Milestar Patagonia tires, I would like to see one of your honest reviews on these tires.

i have the patagonia tires on two of my trucks 31s on my toyota pickup and 33s on one of my dodge rams in my opinion they are a great tire with low road noise and dig really well in everything i have put them through just wish they had a little longer tread life
This review was a big reason I chose these.
Just got a quote for a set thanks for the honest review.🇺🇸🤙
I used to run the maxxis bighorn 764s at $215 a corner for a balanced and fitted 33" you couldn't go past them. I had about 3 sets then they jumped to 350 a tyre.. so i went to toyo MT for 310 a corner. Love my toyos but also did love the bighorns. But for the new price i could get a much better quality tyre
good review mate! I guess I will buy those tires for my truck! in Dubai, we have just sand and Highways, so i guess i'm good to go with those!
65,000 on these tyres on a Ranger with a Boss Aluminium tray and canopy. Fairly heavy. Love them
Would love to see you review some 50/50 tread patterns rather than mud or AT. Would also like to see you try out patriots PCOR wheels.
ronny, ive ran many tires but best i have found is HANKOOK DYNAPROS in MT, on my second pair now! You should give them a go mate, they wear real well too you would get 60,000+ out of them if you rotate.
The cold flat spot is pretty normal for MTs. The heavy cord in the sidewalls on muddies tend to hold shape when they get cold and stiff. They are fine as soon as there is a bit of warmth in them. The only solution is to use highway tires and no-one wants to do that.
be cool to see some BFG KM2 or KM3 M/T
You should try the Toyo RT, Tyre's.
I also run these tyres and love them, one thing you forgot to mention which you may not have known about Ronny, but if you buy 4 or more Maxxis tyres from a Maxxis dealer you will get Maxxis roadside assist and they will also replace any damaged tyre with a brand new one free. Hands down can't beat that!

I'd love to see you test the Cooper S/T Maxx. Have a set on my Taco TRD OffRoad & just did a 3 day overland ride. mostly fast speed gravel But some seriously deep sloppy, rutted tracks which took out my rear locker. Pushed on & hoped for the best. Rock climbing & descending. Continued on & was blown away at the traction in all conditions, the quiet highway ride is just a great bonus. But climbing & descending a mud caked hill in a thunder storm with a torrential downpour convinced me that I'll probably never by a mud tire again. Loving my Cooper S/T Maxx in 255-85-16. Previous tires have been BFG's in mud & AT pattern, General Grabber in mud & AT pattern, Goodyear Wrangler in AT & Interco Super Swamper SSR's in a 37-12.50- 16. Possibly my second most favourite, 3 season tire but they suck on snow covered highways which is a yearly thing up here in the Great White North. Love your channel, Keep up the great work you're doing.

I agree. I run same tire same size on my 05 Tundra. Goes everywhere and anywhere. I find them ok in snow as well here in Northern BC.
as for the tires spinning on the rims and the balance weights: use balance beads and they'll always balance regardless of spinning.
Thank you for your opinion on this particular tire. I was looking at buying a set
Ronnie you should try the Falken Wildpeak M/T. I had a set on my F-150 while I was posted in the Arctic. Put loads of km’s from Inuvik to Whitehorse up and down the Dempster Hwy. I had great luck with them and bang for buck I honestly believe they are hard to be.
Hey Ronny great video as usual but have you ever tried tyre balancing beads ? So when you lower the tyre and it moves position on the rim affecting balance with the beads in the rim it adjust automatically on rotation ......a review on this would be great Thanks!!!
Maybe do a review on a budget tyre? Thanks for all the awesome content - keep it up! Cheers from the Aussie East Coast

Such as the "Federal Couragia M/T" or something like that...
Hi Ronny, I've only recently come across your channel & Im really enjoying it, as Im getting back into the 4x4 scene. I'm a perth boy born & bred so I recognize the areas you 4x4 in. Pretty cool, one thing about these new boots, you are getting less than 50k km out of them is that correct? 2nd question is that par for the course on your 4by? Doesnt take long to rack up 40k km in WA & at $400 a corner minimum for 35s can start to get exxy your thoughts?
ive been thinking of the maxxis bighorn for my next set of tires, I feel better knowing you had great luck with these maxxis ones. I would love to hear you opinion on the skinny VS wide tire debate... like the people who run 255/85r16 on their rig...
I'm keen to put these on my cruiser next 👍
Love your tyre reviews 😉 Im going to try the yokohama geolandar M/T g003 👍🏼
Hi Ronny, the General Grabber X3 would be my recommendation to try if available in Australia.
Hey Ronnie would love to hear your thoughts on those dobinson shocks and springs can't decide what to put on my cruiser.
I sometimes don't drive my cruiser for more than a week and have never noticed flat spot effect. But it is interesting you mention this. I am after a set of tyres before too long. Not sure if to go with 33s or 35s. Unfamiliar with how to change the ratios or where to find a tutorial on the subject
Ronny I’m touring full time and have alway ran MT Maxxis 764. I was considering trailing an all terrain like BFG but this review is pretty convincing. What tyre do you think makes the better tourer?
Hi Ronny, I am looking at purchasing these exact tyres and size that you have reviewed in this video. Just wanted to know and see a bit further about the wear of the tyre (any chunks missing, chips, flaking?). Not the cheapest investment and just weighing up all my options :) Cheers!
Could you explain your conclusion as to why you chose these tyres over the nitto trail grapplers which i believe were your top pick so far before these tyres?
Would love to see a review on both BFG and Mickey Thompson’s

Hey Ronny, what Kompressor do u use? can u recommend a high-durable one??
I’d like to see how the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac MTs fair bud!! Thanks for the reviews!!!
Have em on my 88 ranger . Beast mode
You need to true try the General Grabber atx or x3 they are a great tire you definitely should definitely try them. I personally run the general grabber at2 and atx on both my vehicle’s absolutely love them and they are a true all terrain tire unlike the regular general grabber.
I'm a big fan of Maxxis. My next set will be a skinny set of Bighorns.
For offroad use balancing beads are awsome
Very good review. Have you looked at getting beadlocks? Then you could keep the balance.
would these be ok for daily driving and doing some 4x4 driving at the weekend?
Hi Ron I'm about to get a brand new DMax and get a 2" lift what size rims would you recommend for it. would i need offsets for the 33"?
Would love to see a review on the handkook MT2 rt05
Wow I've never thought about marking a tire against it's rim. Gonna do it now to see if mine are moving as well
Great unbiased review as always. I would suggest testing Coop S/T MAXX it is a hybrid tyre, but more a mud than an A/T. GREAT puncture resistance and great milage.
@T4nkcommander

Yeah they are way better than the K02s that came on my Raptor. That said, while they are much more chunk resistant, they still are chipping a bit more than I'd like. High speed offroad is hard on tires tho.
Have to say these tyres are pretty awesome
Ronnie love your reviews especially on Tyres What would be your best all terrain choice just finished with a set of Kendas all terrain 43.000 Kay’s Can’t afford premium what about FEDERALS …ALL TERRAINS
Can you tell me what model are you using for the air compressor pump? it looks pretty neat to me.
Thanks mate.
What kind of cord materials are used in this tyre? If they use nylon cord thats the reason for the flat spotting in cold weather.
Hey Ronny, you should do the Falken MT01. They're a cheaper tyre, would love to see your opinion of them.
Thanks for the honest review Ronny i think you have converted from the BFGs
Hi Ron.... Between the maxxis & toyo, which got more kilometers out of them? Was it close?
I rekon give a test for new aggressive AT's. Just a thought the distances you travel to locations. AT's might be a win for you.
Ronny do up a video on types of canopy, pros and cons, custom, metal types, temperature, space, price etc cheersssssss
im using the same rzr tires.. very happy with them they're super quiet.. but after i did a tire rotation after 10,000 kms they suddenly became noisy. any idea how is that? i mean i cant even hear them before the tire rotation
I know you're in the States now at Overland Expo and I'm sure you'll see many vehicles with BF Goodrich tires. Don't know if they are available in Australia but it would be interesting if you could test a set of them. Thanks for sharing.

Nice review I'd like to see a review of Firestone Destination MT2. I currently have Mickey Tompson MTZ p3's and love them but they're gonna need replaced soon I have 50k miles on them. I'm narrowed it down to the maxxis razr, Firestone's, or Mickeys again.

A year late, but my Firestone MT2s are excellent at everything except wear.
Give the Falken Wildpeak's a try, i have them on mine and highly rate them.
I have that flat spot problem on my all-season/summer tires My next set will be off-road tires, that are good on road :p
I'd like to see a review of the BFG KO2 and KM3 I love the BFGs I've got 70ks out of my km2s and never a puncture. I think 45000kms is low though for a tyre. You didn't mention cost, so I'm hoping they shouldn't be too expensive if you get low ks out of them.
Do bead locks stop the tire from slipping on the rim?
Would love to hear your opinion on the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R as its not classical MT I understand why you would not choose it, but still would like to hear your opinion on them.
My buddy and I just took our hundies out & he has the KO2s (new). They're as overrated as the ones before em. My half-worn Duratrac ATs blew, well...pulled them outta the water. The Duratrac ATs are good but noisy for what they are & wear fast. Looking forward to trying the new Razr ATs
Hi Ronny Do you know the weight of your Razr tyres when new ?
Do you think that you are having a better experience with these tyres due to you fixing your suspension finally?
Falken Wildpeaks are a popular budget tire in the US, would be curious to see how they stack up!
Ronny, can this review be extended/extrapolated to the at811?
Can you do a review now and get into detail about why you still run razrs I'm considering them
Would love to see how running Maxxis Trepadors would go long term on a tourer

Horrible don't even bother, buddy of mine has them on his daily driver and they're basically done after just 20,000mi and that's on the harder compound they do grip like crazy and on his borderline ultra 4 FJ cruiser I wouldn't want to know what it takes to get that thing stuck
Would love to see a review of MT Deagan 38 tires. I had MT Baja STZ's on my Ranger and had a great run. Couldn't get them anymore when I wanted them for my Tunland. Not happy with MT
@zacharyburkhart1236

I had degan 38 tires and hated them. When they got low tread they were the loudest tire I've had. The traction in the wet pavement was not good. Off-road they were just okay
Very helpful.
what do you think about Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac compare to maxxis razr ?
I just put on a set of BFGoodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM3. Would love to see you run a set of these and get your feedback compared to the other tires you've done a review on.

Those tires will work GREAT at the mall!
You said that the Maxxis are the best tire you’ve had on the cruiser... are you going to get another set of these or try something different when the time comes?
Would love to see you review the bfg km3s
