He fucking practices with whatever wheel he has. And then gets on his real F1 car. So what? He does not need any gear. Any gear is practice for him. It is his job. He does not need the best wheel to "feel" like he is in a car.

This guy practice a lot, and got the natural talent too. Natural talent combined with lots of practice put you at the top.

In Rfactor 2 and many other games it's basically plug and play - the ingame wheel matches yours automatically. That's a problem with older games probably.

He is so rich and has a cheap mid end steering wheel haha

I was looking for that one element of Max's that "explains" his "Senna like" performance on track and I think I found it. There is a passion ad a love of racing that naturally blinds him from the things that usually prevents drivers from being able to live on the edge always and naturally. Both Max and put the same thing above everything else; Personal performance. You might say that this is a silly statement because every driver cares about maximizing their performance and want to be the best. But only three ( in my opinion ) drivers care about it enough to take that obsession of self-performance home with them off the track in different ways. They are Hamilton, Alonso, and Max. Hamilton separates completely from everything that isn't about preparing for the next race to make sure that he's at his maximum, Alonso built his own go-kart track and museum for racing, and Max does hours of nonstop laps (only stopping for setup changes) just for fun! That means the "edge" is very familiar to them so they find it when no one else can. I have officially added Max to my "Greats" list.

At the moment?! Rfactor is stuck in the past. Now there are new sims like assetto corsa and f1 2017. Codies eventually won the rivalry against corsa. You know why? Here is why..... It was chosen as an official f1 game so it could carry sponsors no other f1 game can carry sponsors. Fun fact

But have you heard about Rfactor 2? Not only it has tyre deformation, dynamic real road, time, and weather but it's known for one of the best force feedback systems in simracing. You can try the demo for free. And Iracing exists, it's a really good simulator too, but really expensive.

iv seen people set WR laptimes with a controller. it makes very little difference wether you have a cheap wheel or an expensive one.

so true, I have a cheap Driving Force GT but works well and I beat many of players with a much more expensive wheel, price of the wheel is not importnat if you are good

Rfactor is the most complete game, you can get almost anything you look for. Physics vaies greatly from mod to mod though.
