@@RacexEV Well, Niki Lauda was not supported at all by his wealthy family, he had to go against his father's expectations and quit the family business... he had a good amount of savings though and could fund himself a racing seat, but, he had to be quickly one of the bests to succeed, or he could have simply failed and get ruined. Prost aswell came from a really modest background and had to make a name for himself, by long sacrifices, as a teenager he saved enough money to buy and customize his own Kart, won really important competitions and sponsorships and eventually earned his F1 seat. Those guys made it to the professional level (and later became legends) although they were not pushed or encouraged by anyone except their own dreams. It's all in the mind, dedications and sacrifices, but yeah, I guess it feels good when you're backed up by one of your parents or close person, especially when they obviously have a good knowledge of the thing, share the same passion, they can put you on track from an early age.

And now he has just won the F1 Championship! Congratulations Max!!

And this boy, becomes *formula 1 champion of the world* in 2021. We all will tell this championship story to our grandchildren.

Andres Heisterkamp (Yeh its so late to reply) I think i have the same talent like max in 2009. In 3-4 months of knowing NOTHING about karts i got 5 trophies and few medals. From 40~ km/h karts instantly to 100~km/h thats much to learn but i still like it. ;)

Its like a movie. His dad who is standing behind him to follow his dreams. Gives motiviaton to him

More like forcing his dreams on him. Heard Jos is kind off a a*hole and was a unpleasend dad to him.

And now world fucking champion!!! 🤌🏼

For all those people that don't like/rate Max should look back at videos like this, learning his craft from an early age, discipline and professionalism forming with each race, involved with prep at every step.... it's no wonder he's dominating the world stage.

You have to love Max its still hard to believe he is so young today. A very mature and super driver my favourite by far and not phased by drivers around him. He doesnt throw rattler out of the pram like others..

So awesome to see this throw back footage and to now see what a legend his already turning out to be in the F1 world :)

Max from 2009 to nowdays went in GOAT mode, world championship 2021, congrats Max & greetings from ALBANIA!

And 12 years has passed, we see that young gun become the 2021 F1 world champion. EDIT: Now a 2 time F1 world champion.

Great to see a Father and his son enjoying time together....worth more than any paycheck.

This is a future F1 championship winner in the making. It's so endearing to see him in his first steps of motorracing. He has an experienced racing engineer, the well-respected Jos Verstappen, his daddy. In my honest opinion, Jos is one of the best kart drivers I've ever seen, and I've seen Schumacher against Jos in Paris. This timeless footage is all thanks to a leftfield TV network in Holland called VPRO.

@@lev2727 Thanks for ruining the joke, let me tell you that the joke means to state something in the present anf trying to figure it as future for old comments, so 2 MONTHS AGO I couldn't tell that because I havent seen the last race yet. In fact, the definition of time traveller is to tell their present to the past not to predict the future.
