personally I am quite certain that this rivalry between the two will never go too far, certainly not at the 2021 level with Lewis. certainly during the season there will be contacts, accidents, controversies if you fight for the title, but from the outside you can see a big difference in the relationship between the two compared to their relationship with Lewis. despite as explained (once again) very well by Tommo, they clashed practically for half of their life, still today they have a splendid relationship, and despite two strong characters, we often see them chatting and laughing together. I think the difference is given by the fact that they grew up together sportingly, and growing together despite the "rivalry", you know your opponent well, you respect him enormously. last year here in Italy there was an interview with Charles where he says he would have been happy to see Max world champion, and that he values him very much as a rider and as a person. the same thing can be said of Max with Charles (like the post-race compliments in Bahrain for example). in fact if you think about it, many peers or similar in f1 are very friends with each other, Max and Charles but also Alex, Lando, George, Pierre. and as normal that it is mostly off the track they have different ratios than a Lewis or Sebastian for example.

Topics such as this, are especially interesting due to the current WDC points standings, and that these two drivers have been rivals of one degree or another, for nearly 2/3rd's of their lives! Very interesting subject mate, would love to see more like it!!!

I honestly can't decide. I'm a fan of both of them, which is funny, because they couldn't be more different personality-wise, but they're both ruthless and ridiculously fast on track. That battle in Silverstone '19 was epic as hell, and that's what I want to see from them for the whole season.

I’m really enjoying this season, great duels between Max and Charles but gotta say it man, Max is a beast, since last season the only time he finished a race and wasn’t a least P2 was in Hungary when he finished P9 due a heavily damaged car. That’s nuts. Say what you want about dirty driving or about Abu Dhabi final laps but you gotta respect that. Even Lewis with a car arguably “as good as” Red Bull didn’t have that consistency

It makes sense for Stroll and Latifi, Latifi competed in mainly Canada and North America during karting, and didn’t really compete in the same events during single seaters, and he gets on well with Alex Albon too, With Lance it’s the same situation, he came over from Canada and North America to compete so that transition is harder, and he gets on with Esteban too, also Esteban gets on with really well with Mick

Max started being consistent after he got a car that could win but he could not have pushed an experienced Hammilton in the first years he would get on the fastest car of the grid. Arguably on 2021 he did not best Lewis as well and he got carried by FIA like he got carried up the ranks by his dad’s influence.

In Imola Charles use PU1 with conservative mode to avoid the same issue like Carlos had in Melbourne. Carlos use PU2 and his speed is the same like Max: 295.4 km/hour. If Ferrari gave Charles PU2 in Imola, he win the race. Anyway, Perez speed in that car is FASTEST than Verstappen. Perez speed in Imola is 296.7 km/hour while Verstappen speed is 295.4 km/hour like Carlos Sainz with Power Unit 2. With the same car and WITHOUT NEWEY added aerodynamic in his car, Charles will edge Max out. You skip Bahrain fight this year, fanboy! Leclerc win that duel with battery UNDER 50% because had issues.

Thing that i dislike from his fight style is the way he defend his position. He drag rival out track, clipping rival front wing, zigzag move to blocking rival pass him, or just cut the line to stay ahead. That's why this year his restart moves BANNED because illegal moves. In most sports, if you keep working, you'll keep improving skill wise for the rest of your career, and your decline begins when your physical losses are larger than your mental gains. If max follows this pattern, we have years, maybe even a decade to go until he his his peak. There are many variables that will decide it.
