Two of the 'best' 🙄 umpires in the MLB, Phil Cuzzi and Dan Bellino. Nuff said!
Look,we all know what was going on there. The Dodgers saw Max Scherzer was pitching like MAX SCHERZER,and they needed him out of there. So someone from The Dodgers told one of The Umpires to check him, hoping what happened would happen.
Love how the ump takes out his gum ( with his hand) and chucks it. That’s sticky stuff. Shouldnt the ump also be ejected? Meanwhile in the booth, Keith H is reminiscing about substances he brought on the field and got away with it. Anyway, shades of george brett 1983

This is ridiculous
Do we toss him or not? This should be interesting.
I remember a time when The Dodgers were playing St Louis, Joaquín Andújar was pitching. Tommy Lasorda was Dodger manager and Joey Amalfatano was the pitching coach. Andujar would pitch and his gold chains would pop out of his shirt. Lasorda called the umpires over and pointed out the gold chains ans a distraction. Umpires went to the mound and told Andujar to tuck the chains in. A few pitches later, the chains were out again and umpires were called. Again, they had to go the mound and tell Andujar to tuck in the chains. This happened two more times, Andujar was becoming more and more frustrated until, the umpires told him to just remove the chains. Well, as Andujar slowly removed all of the chains, you could clearly see he was pissed and then, proceeded to fall apart on the mound and the Dodgers took advantage of his frustrations and went on to win the game. I miss the old buck! I thought you loved the team
As someone who doesn’t watch sports, I’m just assuming this has become a competition of corruption and bureaucratic over- reach between NY and LA that transcends baseball…
Rosin is legal. What is the problem? I would sure want the pitcher to have a good grip before firing me a fastball.
MLB needs to stop this garbage. It’s getting in the way of the game.
Why are they checking his glove hand? Makes no sense
Did they take his glove and hat and have them analyzed? Were all they found on both were sweat and rosin from the rosin bag? I don't know all the rules and regulation, but are any of those illegal substances of any kind? If not why is Scherzer being punished? Has there been any explanations yet?
Max has to use the catcher for this like the Cardinals did with Molina.
