    Had the exact same thing, or even worse, happened with Alonso, he most certainly would NOT have been DFA'd.

    Hey Met fans. This is our leader and best player. If they get rid of him I will personally never root for them again. Who is with me? Btw I have been a fan for 57 years.

    There are millions of kids all over the world that would do anything to have their shot at playing Major League Baseball. This scumbag should never play baseball for money again after that disgusting display. That was the act of a petulant child, not a professional. In just about every other job he would be fired so he should be fired from this one as well for his complete and utter disrespect to the team and the fans.

    Lopez should have had a translator to assist him, Stearns will never admit that they made a mistake in signing him or DFAing him based upon the player possibly using the wrong words in an interview. This is on Stearns, rookie manager, and underperforming players. This would not have happened under Buck.

  • @BakiSmaki27
    @BakiSmaki2715 сағат бұрын

    I agree and I feel that's been somewhat overlooked so far. Why was Lopez doing these interviews in English with no translator? He clearly can't express himself well in English. Something like this could be detrimental to his career. The players union should be looking into that if they haven't already.

    To be fair, I don’t think Mendoza is the problem he deserves a chance being a rookie manager. Stearns however is not a rookie and he put this team together, a team that is supposed to bridge the gap to next year when a bunch of $’s come off the books, why would you put a rookie in charge of this team? By the way, I keep hearing the culture needs changing, i think the culture has changed, it’s noticable by anyone who has watched this team flounder.

    Lindor calling for a team meeting while batting around .200 might seem hypocritical, much like Yankees fans defending Mendoza despite his lack of Major League playing experience. It's unreasonable for Lindor to accept guidance from a manager who's akin to a swimming coach who has never been in the water. Fire Mendoza right now!!!!

David Stearns only made one mistake in the off-season. Don’t blame the players blame the manager. I have nothing against them. How does it look when he tells Peter Lonzo that he should talk his shoulder in and he might hit better when he he never played in the major league, baseball subconsciously, Peter Lonzo get not respect them get rid of him Mendoza

    Lindor has the worst AVE with RISP on the team. Lindor has a .249 AVE after 3 1/2 years as a Met. Lindor's WAR is 0.9 this season. Lindor has NOT made an All Star team as a Met. So he is an overpaid defensive shortstop. Bat him 6th or 7th. Stop coddling him like he is some superstar. HE IS NOT! Sit him a few times a month. Tell him he will get moved up if he performs.

    The only reason this keeps happening [swinging at pitches that start way inside and continues to ride inside] is because Alonso is so scouted while the Mets and Alonso do nothing about it. Instead, Alonso doubts himself and has to guess at pitches. When you guess in every at-bat while the opposing team has every possible stat, tendency, habit, deficiency, etc., you fail 7.5x/10. Here, he's guessing middle of the plate or outside and they know he has a tendency to swing at pitches WAY inside that were never approaching the plate.
