They pretty much gonna rotate in who gets in next and not just only T3 reps. There were lot newcomers in T7 as an example and only a few(3) made it in the base roster. Best bet any of them will come back next (Lucky Chloe,Katarina or Gigas)

@@RRRRRRRRR33it’s the non-white version of “edgy black person”. It’s overused and uninteresting; will definitely be changing the hair back to the OG style.

I wonder if changing how points are given would help with the disconnect situation. For example, since you need to win 2 games to get the set, lower the points given for the first win, but increase the points for the win that gets you the set. This way, people quitting after the first win or no win at all will have a much harder time ranking up than the ones winning the sets. And if there is already that system in place, further increase the difference between them. Maybe it's not a flawless solution, because that could potentially affect folks who only manage to win a game in a set and slow their progress, but i think incentivizing players to try getting those two wins could help with the pluggers. Maybe give more incentives for completing sets by giving players a "streak multiplier" for completing sets even if they lose, so that they are incentivized to do all games and reward them with more points on both the 1 wins and losses. Things that could push the player into a better behavior. But then again, i am not sure this is necessarily a simple solution as im making it look like in the comment, im not a dev. But hopefully fighting games can figure out a way to prevent that sort of behavior from players, with incentives.

That's Eddy's Tekken Tag Tournament 1 theme music. It's so good to see him back.

I think I get what that chatter was talking about when they mentioned MK1. While I get a lot of rage quits and plugs in MK1 I've always been credited with the win. There's never been any confusion on the games part with who was at fault. There was that issue with desyncs a while back but I haven't seen any of those in months.

Give us unlimited rematch on casual. Maybe a mutual option to do another ft2 in ranked? Still would return the players to the queue pretty fast after maximum of 6 games.

I don't want to bring down the mood. I very much love Tekken 8 I think its a blast. I am kinda worried about the battle pass though. They said its weekly challenges which makes me think it will function like the ones you see in arcade quest. If it ends up being challenges like play as this character and hit select move then its going to completely ruin the online because players will focus more on performing their challenges than actually facing the opponent and I bet they will most likely disconnect if they don't win or land said move in a match.

The worst part of one and doners, are when you enjoy and win the 1st match so you give the rematch and then they turtle and and make you wait the entire time without rematching

The reason you see more throws connecting is people will try to side step and get caught due to them tracking now. One of the reasons why both king and Drag have seen a lot more success outside other obvious changes

Amazing to see that Eddy has one of his tekken 3 win poses!

Since T8 is so immensely popular now and being covered by so many new personalities, I’m really curious how much influence that has had on the Character usage rankings versus their actual viability. For instance, the concept of King and Dragunov being so high on the list feels like a pipe dream back in the day, but Lil Majin and JDCR streaming and being on youtube since T7 surely influenced this, especially with guys like AfroSenju and RDCWorld also repping these characters. Warms my heart, really. Tiers will always exist, but Tekken is at its best with people trying nee things and seeking variety. Playing online lately has been so much more fun than in past games with that alone.

Good stuff Max. I do like these Tekken Talk Streams. Eddy is looking insanely fun too Play but very frightening too Play against tho lol.

I get tons of people mad at me enough after matches for them to mesaage me, for some reason. I even had a streamer report me for assuming I'm cheating. Then when i made he feel stupid for being a sore loser, he tried to get me to check out his channel lol. Dudes take this game way too seriously.

As for the jailing thing, if it doesnt already it should double check your record to seek if said player has a history of disconnecting, then the disconnecting lose two points system, and maybe an appeal system combination with whats already there, and see how much of an impact it has in this situation.

Couple things: First, Battle Passes in fighting games aren't new. Moreover, when Max brought that up (if it's the video I'm thinking of,) it was in the context of a free to play game, not a full priced entry. That said, yeah this sucks. More than the money, I just don't want to play games on a developer's schedule. I'm just going to resign to missing out on whatever content is attached.

The lack of "quit" button was definitely bizarre. Took me awhile to figure out how to quit the game on first load

I hope they considered Steve's sway when making azucena running 3,2 sedestepable.

Did even notice Harada was wearing that modified Tekken shirt with Rosemi on it. GAH DAMN, Eddy getting nutty right now! I can only imagine Kenny yelling in excitement. Edit: Not a lot of yelling but he was most assuredly hyped.

measuring how often games end by disconnect doesn't necessarily tell you who disconnected, it just tells you the game didn't end by one player winning

It’s a video game, people should have fun. In the end 💩 talking is part of the experience, also people can just turn off the microphone feature and not hear anything.

People can obviously have legitimate reasons for quitting a game, although in such cases you'd think they wouldn't have an unusually high or even egregious amounts of disconnects, particularly at times most advantageous to the one quitting.
