I actually knew that too and also the fact that Nero is vergil's son when DMC4 came out.

On tonight's livestream Max said that he talked to Reuben Langdon (Dante's actor), who said he showed this video to the game's executive producer Itsuno. He reportedly cried tears of joy upon seeing how excited people were getting about this game. Just thought I'd share that story with y'all.

Kira Aogiri it could be vergil far more corrupted since mundus is a literal giant. And with them hinting that the trailer song hints to some of the story. It shows that vergils soul obviously breaking free from his body and into neros arm to seek vengeance from being used by mundus. And the new black haired character could be vergils new vessel or just a new character. With vergil dying for nero as his father.

people have no idea why these guys, and others like them, reacted the way they did and then comment "they r not fans cause they didn't recognize red queen". Most of us were afraid that it was just DmC 2 with a rebooted Donte using red queen weapon, and I even thought this was a rebooted Nero for DmC 2 after I recognized the red queen. The art style changed, Nero's arm changed, some new girl, etc all these stuff are enough for people to get confused with this trailer. That short clip of Nero losing his arm, followed by the devil May Cry 5 title reveal, and Dante on bike was the moment many of us could breath a sigh of relief and accept that it wasn't DmC 2.

I just ordered the Devil May Cry HD Collection so I could get invested in these games. Everything I know about the series comes from Marvel VS Capcom, so now I can finally learn a bit about it.

Hunter Thomas Sounds good just keep in mind that while DMC5 may take elements from DmC, that DmC is non-canonical to the main 5, but it does have good gameplay for itself so I recommend its own definitive edition for its full experience.

exactly. Nero is a punk. That haircut and attitude are spot on. He's what Dante in DmC tried to mimic but wasn't suited for his character.

This video came out over a year ago and I still can’t stop the watching this I could watch this over and over again

omg,it make sence now,vergil cut nero arm to get yamato back to him,this is going to be so freaking cool

After a few watches I realized Nero's facial structure didn't change *that* much, art style aside, and it's growing on me. Notably his jaw/chin is a bit more square and manly, and his chin is clefted. I'm just not sure if the hairstyle fits. That's the harder sell for me. That aside, the game itself looks fantastic, though of course want to see some raw gameplay.

Well it's not surprising they changed his face a bit. Look at Chris Redfield, Kratos (ok beard, but still) Prince of Persia throughout the trilogy. It happens when they make the jump in technology. And judging by Dante, quite some time has passed. Man he looked like he was ready to seriously fuck someone up :D

I still rewatch this now and then just because it's so hype.

Keirizu Vergil was transformed to nelo Angelo by mundus he's most definitely dead. Don't think we'll be playing as vergil but maybe dante has a kid?

It's Nero, no mistake. If you look closely you can see the antagonist holding his original arm. One of the sub plots will apparently be to get his arm back.

Jamie Flynn I don't think Dante had any facial hair in 2 , he is having the same hair cut it seems , the bike looks from dmc2 as well and considering how old he over all looks , it makes sense to be after 2 as well , i guess there are no barbers in Hell lol

I come back to this video every now and again and the second YO at 2:36 will never stop choking me up. That alone encapsulates how i felt knowing this game was coming out and was finally being made.

I get goosebumps everytime I watch this. What an awesome game.

This game is going to be fucking incredible. I can't believe that is the in game graphics oh my God it looks insane. Dante has that David Beckham look on the bike in the end lol. Vergil is going to be insane I can only imagine the sick cut scenes.

My WHOLE childhood has been around the devil may cry series, I really teared up before my university exam watching this and I just found this channel, no one was as hyped as I was except you guys. I’m so glad I found you my man, I’m definitely a fan now and I can’t wait to continue being a fan!
