I just finished the Wood Trick Spiral and it was not simple. the galaxy has like 700+ parts and it is quite an accomplishment. Bravo.

Awesome job! Just finished building this myself and it was a blast. Only broke one piece, but luckily there are plenty of spare pieces for the most fragile ones. And to answer the question about how many pieces... there are 678. Biggest set I have worked on to date. Very fun project. Recommend to anyone that enjoys Wood Trick or Ugears models. This is my 16th one, and boy it was a dozey. If you are new to this type of model I recommend doing some of the smaller ones first so you don't waste 115 bucks.

It was a present so I didn’t have to pay money and it wasn’t my first bill but I don’t think I need to try something lower.

Great job, turned out awesome! I just love all these types of wooden puzzles/models. This one looks massive and challenging but that's part of the fun, thanks for sharing - very cool!

I sooo love this father son interview! Great work!

Keep at it , would have loved to have had access to these modern things to learn from, may it survive warp free.

Lovely video, thanks for sharing (and making the run!) I always feel with these runs that they aren't as creative as they could be, only having three short non-interactive) routes for such a complex machine seems a waste. I yearn for one that's 'cleverer', having collections of marbles that build up to release other rarer paths and such like.

Just finished my own last night. Glad I've been working up to them because it was not easy!

I just finished one of these. I have done a lot of these wood kits made by different companies (most from UGears). It says 6 to 8 hours to build, but it took me longer than that. This is something you don't want to rush on. Besides sanding the gears, you have to put wax on them and the other moving parts. The parts will be stiff at first, but once the wax has been rubbed into the parts, they move a lot easier. I would turn each section by hand to break it in. Sometimes it helps to wiggle the supporting pieces to find the right spot where it will move easy.

I spray the gears etc with a silicon spray, which provides a much smoother (less friction) interaction.

EXCELLENT job and a great explanation. I am a modeler with over 50 years building and have just started with two of the Woodtrick train engine models. This will hopefully be my next one. I am very happy I came across your video. Keep up the good work!!!!!

Don’t be nervous about it. All you have to worry about is the gear sanding and the Rolling track’s sending. I used sand paper.

I completed mine and I know how much it takes to build one properly. Great job. I also think I noticed that you may have had to remove the bottom rubber band from the ramp level so the ball would not simply fly off the rail. I wonder if anyone else had this problem and do you think this is a design flaw?

Yes sir. I just built mine and also found that problem. The marble’s just are not heavy enough to weigh down the ramp against the rubber band’s resistance. Lots of marbles sent flying. I took the bands off and haven’t thrown a marble yet.

I noticed there is a flaw in the design. The balls will jump the track at the bottom of the 3 diving boards devices in the section you called the Zig Zag. I took off the rubber band on the bottom one so it will stay down. The ball goes too fast for it to lower the bottom one and it goes over the curved railing. I watched other videos of this and even the one from Wood Trick took off the rubber band, so the bottom board stays in the down position. I see you did that too.

I have this particular Marble run along with a couple of smaller one's which have a crank handle to turn. They turned out pretty good but I'm still a little afraid to get started on this one. You did a fantastic job young man assembling this monster. If there was one part that you would stress to pay real close attention to what part would that be? Thanks for sharing.

I’m 41 and just discovered these. I bought an Intrism mini and had a lot of fun with it. I already bought a ROKR Marble Parkour. The problem with being 41, I can buy all of them with minimal judgement (which I probably will), I can also buy a couple extra boxes and hand them out to my geek/nerd fans as gifts! So……. Am I going down a dark path? Is this basically the equivalent of gambling program?

Anthony, I am 80 and just discovered these a year ago as a Birthday present. I have done avout 10 kits and have a few more waiting. I just finished two marble runs but not sure if I want to try this one. I got my 85 year old brother , who is a great woodworker, hooked on these as well. His collection is building fast. We are both fascinated by the engineering. I have a lot of respect for the kid in this video but would have liked to have heard his age.

Kudos. I've built a few of their models and they are not easy to put together.

There is a video of this build. Search Leo Kessels, it's a wip and so far parts 1, 2 and 3 are uploaded. BTW, great job young man, you did an excellent job on this. I have this kit but haven't started it yet.

I expected the tolerances to be finer it’s a bit of a drag having to sandpaper the gear teeth.
