My brother has a beautiful bird but keeps it in another room but doesn't really pay any attention to the bird. I keep asking him if I can take her for a while because although she has a beautiful sun room all to herself, she doesn't get attention.

I finally decided to google "why do cockatoos sound like satan", because Max and every other cockatoo do that thing where they sound like they're speaking in tongues or grumbling in some ancient language. And anyway, all the first page google results are about a different video of Max going to the vet.

That deep voice is incredible. Much more pronounced than before. If i heard that voice in the dark i would shit my pants. lol

In all fairness Dan is just trying to acclamate Max to what is going to happen this morning. Max is having an anxiety/panic attack like i do when I have to go to doctor. The traveling, smells and sounds of office not to mention the clippers! Dan is great with Max and he does not tease him with the carrier either. He talks to him to calm him down, lets Max vent ....which is healthy and lovingly reasures Max he will be ok. Love to Max xo kel

So, so cute and adorable.The minute that Max ramble began once he saw the carrier reminded me of Harry from Home Alone, mumbling/cursing under his breath.

Dear sweet little boy. 🙍🏼‍♀️❤️😇❤️ much less upset than before. Dan, you were so patient and sweet, with kind words and soft voice. The whisper Max held unto for awhile impressed me. Most comforting to Max🐥 in his special area of trust. Goodby toesie clippings. You’d be worth a lot on eBay with a video of what it takes to get them in comfortable shape for hopping, running, climbing, tapping, eating, scratching........along with a month vacation for vet and assistant. This is a Major Event 🦖🦖🦖 such a kind Dad and your boi knew it.

And dear "Dad" continues to be so patient, ever trying to have Max see going to the vet as a "good" experience- no easy task!💙

I had a citron crest called Barley, he had lived in a pub and was terrified of strangers and wouldn't leave his cage. But he was so affectionate once he knew you and loved his cuddles. He was a lovely boy but troubled, such a shame. I love Max, he's quite a handful isn't he?

Yes, yes, and yes! I just commented something about Max needing to learn the word "nope". Just picture it - that lap escape, with Max emphatically stating "nope, nope, nope" with every step.

That moment is priceless. I lost it for a bit, and when I regained control of myself I could hear my poor neighbors moving around upstairs. Not such a bad thing, except it was 3:00 am and they were silent beforehand. Oops!

I can't help but to watch this video. You and Max have such an adorable relationship. There are stories out there that (experienced?) parronts know about toos and even though they have their other sides to them and it's not all cuddles, squeaks, puppy play, there is also an angelic and gentle side it seems. I remember an old friend of mine had a moluccan cockatoo and rose breasted. For some reason they were the birds I loved (out of a blue and gold macaw, congo African grey). I remember the rose breasted I sat with on the couch; all she wanted to do was rip a pimple off my face at the time and plop on the couch to wobble her way onto her next adventure. The moluccan sat in my lap against my chest and accepted scritches on her head. A cousin of them, and Max, my tiel who I've had for almost 13 years (got him when he was 12 wks), I know is still a mini cockatoo but definitely not on the level of what they are. Still, I adore them and can't help but to love them.
