Just start reading a newspaper on the fold-down top of the bench, and it would be on top of it in a flash.

Bernie... It cracks me up watching how much Max acts just like any regular cat.... not listening, and definitely NOT doing what you want him to... just kind of laying there like "You want me to do WHAT?? Um....no." I really laughed when you called him a "little turd". Nice bench! :) Thanks again for sharing him (and yourself) with us.

Having regular cats of my own most of the time they just ignore me just like Max is doing here.

Max is such a character. Hes so cute

Hopefully he didn't tip the bench over with or without you, Bernie. Looks like he was enjoying the weather that day while momma was working so hard putting the bench/table together. Thanks for sharing!

Deb McKee - So far, Max has not tipped over the bench. He jumps on it either from the front or the side.

I would get a really get a ticket just to go all the way to see Max

For that position he needs a clipboard and a pen over his ear, though.

Love the time lapse segment and watching Max's movements. People often say that cats are aloof and don't like hanging around with people, but I've found just the opposite. OK, maybe they don't continually slobber all over people like dogs do, but I've found that when someone is working in the yard, their cat will often hang close by.....and Max appears no different. He has lots of space in that enclosure and if he wanted to be by himself, he easily could have. But no, he chose to hang right with you during most of that construction process. I love it how he lets you pick him up and grab his cute little tail. I've heard that a lot of captive wildcats, including some that are kept as pets, don't like being picked up. Max is pretty special. I still love that Christmas shot from last year of you holding Max in your arms. That's an amazing pic.

Kevin Madore - The time lapse is pretty funny and the only way I could cover up my construction errors. LOL. I really didn't keep an eye on Max too much, so it was cool to watch the video afterwards. He loved that piece of Styrofoam. That was funny! Later in the day, I sat on the bench and he was next to me with his head into my chest while I scratched his head, ears and back. However, now we are eye level and he went to nip the back of my arm to start playing but I was not having it & we had a stare down. I won and he lost interest. I love the shots of him in my lap at Christmas too. You don't realize his size until you see that! :)

marioamayaflamenco - LOL. I use to boast that I got things accomplished because I read the directions. This bench made a liar & fool out of me. Lesson learned.

I want to hug & cuddle Max the Canadian Lynx, his breed of wild cats are equally cool as Black Panthers.🥰😎

I can not say enough how good it is to see him doing well, i hope his health is good appears that way. To be able to interact with a cat like this for me would be amazing. Had felines all my life, wild and shelter saves. Dogs are fine, but cats are IT for me. Always makes me smile seeing Max, a beautiful cat indeed.

Hes soo cute just chilling as you make it...love how hes used it with you till now...typical kitty just chilling and looking at the world..🥰

it's your patience with max and the hard work you put in for him that I admire, you are a great human and that is what we need in tough times, I kept watching this over and over again, so thank you again

Bernie, you set a new world's record for assembling that bench in 3 minutes 21 seconds! It could not have been done without Max's assistance, however... LOL Once again, a great video...love to check in on occasion and catch the latest adventures of Max...

Yep, it'll do - I caught myself out of breath after watching the labor, too..! I didn't realize how large lynx cats grew, he's so impressive as well as such good kitty company.

He was so behaved while you were working on the bench. He just laid around Being Max 😻😻😻

I enjoyed watching Max keep you company while you built the bench. He was so cute giving himself a bath in the background. That's a nice bench, I like that it converts to a bench and table.

That's one honking big-rig cat .... Beautiful adaptation to snow, huge snow-shoe paws and hind legs a meter long, not dissimilar to a hare's structure (poor rabbit). It would be interesting to see what it would do with a tree, if it would climb it without getting stuck on the way down, or just avoid it.

@@Turtleback8024 ---- squirrels can turn their hind legs, and look kind of like bats when coming down a tree trunk, but I didn't know leopards, or any cats, could.

Max, in my opinion, is in the weird zone that he's not quite a domesticated cat and not fully wild either. Although when I watch your videos I have to keep reminding my self of this! Max seems to really love his time with you! He didn't leave the area where you were unless you left! He was content to be with "Mom". I'll be the first one to say he listens like a cat, if you can call it listening (mine to the same thing unless food is involved), but he does love you! I wonder what his reaction would be if he thought someone was threatening you? (shudders) Thanks for sharing the video Bernie!

That is a big cat....

I see Max is “helping” you just like how my two cats “help” me with chores! And he’s just like my cats: new things are scary, but after a little while curiosity takes over and they come to take a look. Max is so cute and I have a hard time reminding myself he’s a wild animal and not just a big version of a housecat.

He's such a doll baby!

Throw one of Max's favorite old stinked up blankets on that bench, and he'll be on it in no time. Every cat has their favorite curl up, cuddle up piece of furniture, blanket, throw rug, etc, etc,.

@Randy van Vliet - I have tried that with his rug but he keeps pulling it down to the ground and lies on it. He'll sit on the bench without it and sometimes watches the birds.
