Damn Brada! You sound pretty badass. Mavericks, huh? Boring? After all the pros that have passed away here, and lots of the elite surfers of this era that just don't surf it, that's saying something. I'd love to see YOUR videos out there. Why no posts? Yeah. Thought so. Easy to act tough on KZread. Nothing personal, but shut your fuckin mouth and have some respect for the chargers. Just rent 'North Shore' for the 100th time and zip it.

We surfed that area from 1965, And Nuevo and south. There's a spot, San Gregorio, that formed ginormous, perfect waves but broke too close to the cliff. Never had an inkling of Mav's.

Waves of that size and that clean and glassy, it is insane. I surfed for 30 years and had surf like that maybe 3 times, and size , well hard to judge, maybe between half and two thirds of that. Certainly got that "falling elevator" thing going on when taking off. Was shitting bricks every time, but what a rush...

Nobody believed it was possible especially there at pillar point. The place is out off the main coastline. So when he discovered it he told his closest surfing friends who took a long time to actually go check it out. It's also on rare occasions that it's firing massive. Not an every day huge swell.
