The guest shows humility, gives credit to others and honors his mother. Once again, Penn also shows us his respect for others - we can all learn a lot from these two fine men, treating everyone with such heartfelt respect. That is the real magic.

I think one of the nicest things about P&T's FU is that it's a great career boost for talented magicians. This is one where the magician knew there was no way he would fool them, but he got a showcase to demonstrate his top-notch skills and stage presence. He's got a great personality and would be so enjoyable to watch in person. Thumbs up, definitely!

Not only do they gain some recognition from being on the show, but when these amazing acts, whether they fool Penn and Teller or not, just posting their part on their KZread channels gives them even more recognition. It can be a huge boost just being on the show.

As someone who received emails from one of the talent coordinators, I can tell you first hand that the very first thing they mentioned was "The show isn't about just fooling P&T but celebrating great magic and letting the world see the diversity of magicians out there." I sadly could not go on the show due to scheduling conflicts ( I got married when they were filming season 2) but have many friends that have been on and yes...this is a GREAT show that helps expose the world to some of the best magicians around!

I could figure out one or two things during the trick, but the whole presentation was just the kind of stuff I like. It was simple, elegant, captivating and very humble. When an act is too "full of itself" or uses a lot of weird props, we know it's all silly misdirection. Here the trick is exactly what we should be looking at. It happens in front of our eyes. There is no stalling, there is no filling with absurd details just to make a simple trick feel longer. It's just very beautiful and it's all there. I absolutely loved it.

Matthew, this was a really beautiful coin matrix routine. Like Penn said, there's a purity to the routine that you bring by choosing to do it the way you did. You're not overly dressed up in a tailored suit, or the classic magician look, the rolled up sleeve dress shirt with a waistcoat, and the fact that you're doing it with just a board on your lap instead of a huge imposing desk brings an almost vulnerability to your routine that most magicians tend to lack. It's very "human" instead of being very showboaty. It's too bad you didn't fool P&T, but there's no doubt that your late mother would be proud of the fact that you got to perform in front of an audience of millions, in front of two of the most celebrated magicians alive.
