Ill say this, Matt is an amazing QB and as tough as they come, dude was totally knocked out cold that game and sprung right back into the game, also very smart for getting up pretending it was his shoulder😂. I love Stafford, he gave us Lions fans every bit he had every single game. He was worth tuning in for. It was a sad day when we traded him away. Little did we know that this trade was going to be the start of something amazing. Thanks for the great years Matt.

He has similar completion percentage as Brady and the only knock is he will most likely have more interceptions. But he is known as a gunslinger. He will most definitely go down as an all-time great when he retires.

This game was the classic it deserved to be. Both teams left it all out on the field. Stafford is one tough dude to hang in there after taking some brutal hits.

I'm a huge Lions fan. Stafford has given us so much, not just as a player but a part of the community. Also. How heartwarming was it to see the Stafford family instead of Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahommes!

I've seen a couple references to it, but nothing that proves the kids were personally being booed... calling an entire fanbase trash over an assumption is pretty dumb. Even if it did happen it would only be a few lowlifes, drunk bros you'd find in every sports stadium in the world... not a reflection of "most" of the fanbase.

Rams fan here. Stafford is beast. One of the best throwers of a football. We had a great season and way overachieved. We had plenty of opportunities to win this game but lions red zone defense stepped up. Respect to the lions. They played great

I am glad I got on this thread and watched the video. After watching many episodes of the game, this one is by far the best. I REALLY appreciate the comments from some of the Lions fan who are respectful, something I didn't read in the other threads and something I didn't believe because of the way SOME fans booed Stafford and his family. I just have to remind myself there are cocky fans on every team, so congrats to the Lions for their win. VERY proud of my rams, taking the Lions to the ropes and not being blown out as the other wild card games ended up being. Super excited for next year. Thanks Rams for making this year special!

As a Lions fan, I CANNOT picture any Lions fan actually booing the Stafford family. Matt and his family had (and HAS) a lot of respect from Detroit. I cannot think of anyone who is a Lions fan that wasn't thrilled that Stafford won the Superbowl the very next year after he was traded from Detroit. I was actually glad he got traded, because (at the time) he was being held back by a poor team. Now, Detroit has a Lions team it can be proud of. GO LIONS!

Im a Lions fan and I was worried when he got hit hard and went in the tent. Wish he could of won here but glad he got a ring. He was the first real franchise qb Detroit had in my life and was tough. His dislocated shoulder TD at end of a game is my favorite memory of him.

I Grew up and still live in Dearborn Michigan. I'm a life long Lions fan. I have always absolutely loved Matthew Stafford, and was so thankful to have had him as a Lion. I hated he couldn't see more success with the Lions and was so happy for his Superbowl win. There wasn't a more deserving person. He is an unbelievable quarterback, is tough as nails, is a total class act, and deserves to get his Hall of Fame jacket. Thank you Matt

In any case, I'm still pulling for Detroit to go all the way. Despite the lack of class towards a franchise great, the poor Lions fans deserve some success, and this roster/coaching staff looks awesome. I really wanted to see a Lions vs Bills super bowl, felt like that would have been a win-win with two teams that had never gotten one, though that hope was dashed.

Season was a huge success given the expectations most of us had. Cannot wait to see what they do next year!

We weren’t booing Matthew! We were booing the opponents. We will always love and respect him here in the D. We rooted for him in the Super Bowl and will always wish him well!

I watched every game Matt. Even when I volunteered to go to NEW ORLEANS to help out for Hurricane Ida. We went to BW's to watch your progress. You're a Class Act My Friend. I wish it could have been you. Gotta go with Jarred Goff now. He's the new kid in town.

(New) Lions fan here: I appreciate Matt Stafford. He did a fantastic job in Detroit despite how bad the team was as a whole. I was glad he got traded and he left the D with a lot of respect for the town and the town had a lot of respect for him. I think a lot of Lions fans were more than thrilled that Stafford won the Superbowl the first year away from the Lions. I know a lot of people who knew he was being held back at Detroit. Now, that being said, I'm glad he was beaten in this game. All the respect I have for him remains, but the Lions have caught fire like never before in the last 60 years. Whenever the Lions' season ends, the Lions have gained my respect that I had lacked for a long, long time.

Stafford played amazing and is still my favorite QB of all time

Stafford will get his standing ovation when he comes back here during the regular season next year. Not in the post-season.

As a lions fan who grew up with Harrington and Kitna there will always be love for Stafford! Watching him and Calvin Johnson make art on the field was something to look forward to! Really happy to see him get a ring however bitter sweet

If this wasnt a playoff game, especially a home one, Stafford isn't getting booed.

I cheered for Matt Stafford for 12 years, and I probably wouldn't have booed him. He's the opponent now. Joseph isn't dirty. Defensive backs have it hard where and how to hit a receiver. Just like all DB 's across the league.

​@@2LakersFan4nah that's too many ifs to throw that ball. The issue is if Joseph hits high its a flag. I don't think he intended to injure but like stafford said Joseph has a similar hit earlier against hockenson. I think the issue is the flag, they need to work that out so defence doesn't feel like they don't have a choice.
