Vince leaving and HHH taking over was the main reason why WWE began to improve. Vince only left because of his own issues.

Wrestling fans are their own worse enemy. Beside being happy that the business is growing they would rather other promotions to fail which isn't good for the entirely of pro wrestling. If a wrestler isn't happy where they are or if they get fired it gives you a chance to see them somewhere else. WWE,AEW,TNA or whoever don't notice you so I don't get why they have that brand loyalty mentality . There's a difference between fair criticism and just straight up being a tool

A lot of wrestling fans don't seem to realise that "the alternative" doesn't also have to be competition. Pepsi doesn't have to compete with coke cos enough people just prefer the taste, y'know? Like, pepsi fans are not the majority by any means, but pepsi ain't going out of business any time soon. We need the figurative pepsis, dr peppers and sprites of the world, cos man cannot live on coke alone, man.

The wresrling business is booming NJPW/AJPW/DDT/Stardom/CMLL/AAA all survived pandemic internationally against all odds. WWE is thriving AEW has gained a steady audience, TNA/MLW/NWA are still around and expanding. Jarrett is trying to relaunch GFW. Theres never been more options

Here's something that might help Tony. He'd sell three times as many tickets if he charged half as much. $525 is highway robbery for Dynamite tickets. Even for ringside. That's what they were charging for good Wrestlemania seats. AEW needs to get real about what fans are willing to pay and they would be able to move some tickets.

I just don’t agree with that sentiment. This notion that Tony is not a good businessman, not good for the industry, or not a good boss comes from CM Punk, a guy who absolutely hated Hunter yet is now on his roster as well as assaulted a colleague (which everyone praises him for for some reason), Jim Cornette, a guy who specifically wants to take the wrestling business back fifty years to when it was literally a carny scam, and Eric Bischoff, a guy who ran multiple companies into the ground and has zero room to talk. I’m not going to sit here and tell you Khan is a saint and has no room for improvement, but I also think he’s a boon to the industry who has single-handedly been responsible for massive improvements in the actual job, like being able to take leave and see your family, benefits, creative control and more. He’s offering a real alternative that gives fans what WWE can’t and doesn’t provide, a stacked roster, and contrary to what people who don’t watch the product think, great stories and excellent matches.

Fans have an opinion. And their opinions are valid. So many of y'all (in the business) want to get upset over the fans opinions. And instead of upping your game, you down the people calling you out. Having an opinion is one thing but bashing a company and trying to put wrestlers where you think they should be is another, I’m also a fan but I get so tired of ppl thinking they know better than the ppl who actually run the company and start pitching half baked ideas

I flatly disagree with you. If you watch the product consistently, it’s great, with highs and lows like any other promotion. People seem to get their opinions from other podcasters rather than from watching the show.

The thing is, I’m the kind of fan that points out constructive criticism because no wrestling company is perfect and AEW could be so much better. If you don’t think AEW has a problem using CM Punks name to get ratings off of the drama with the EVPs then you are delusional. It is commendable Tony Khan created an alternative with several people helping. But Tony is a detriment to AEW because he’s not a boss. I actually want AEW to succeed because they have all the right elements to be very successful. At the same time though, unless they get someone that knows how to run a wrestling company in charge, I highly doubt they could reach the levels they could be.

@@IntoxicatedGhost1 I never wanted AEW to fail. I watched it for over 3 years. It was good... for awhile. Then, the cancer (bucks) grew from within and fed TK's delusional ego. I still don't want AEW to fail. I like a lot of the wrestlers in AEW, but let's face it... The show sucks now. The booking is terrible because TK doesn't know how to tell good stories, or control himself as a professional. To deny that is just straight up lying to yourself.

Right now the only good thing about aew is that wrestlers can make more money Tony khan should grow a pair and act like a boss It doesn't matter if wrestlers stops being friends with him (most of them will never be signed by wwe anyways) Also it would be better if he stops listening to meltzer and alvarez Those 2 goofs played a considerable part in cm punk saga with their lies and bullshit.
