ABOUT MATT:
Matt Greiner is the drummer for the Grammy-nominated band August Burns Red. He started the band in 2003 and has been touring the world and performing since 2005. He has written and recorded eight CDs with August Burns Red, the latest of which received a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance for the song "Identity." When at home in Pennsylvania, Greiner teaches thirty-two students per week and enjoys teaching students while on tour as well.

    I'm so glad that he recognized the "lamb of god sound" with using the splash. I say that to so many people and they have no idea what I'm talking about.

    You’re so much fun to watch Matt. Great spirit and well spoken. I was front row and center during your performance at Rockfest last year. Amazing show. You’d be a fun guy to have a beer with.

    Matt is an amazing person to have a beer with, as I have had the honor and privilege to sit many times and chat. Including this last Friday. He is such a down to earth person. A great friend, and incredible musician.

    It's cool that he explains a process that is not much explained in drumming. There's huge a difference between knowing how to play a beat and being able to play it without thinking.

    He basically uses his kick as his own metronome in a way. That's how I've always learned how to play.
