I like Mark Cuban's laugh. When I see him laugh on television, I think to myself "here's a jovial fellow that has a central nervous system and can use context clues to construct an idea of other people's inner lives".

I also. Plus, also, to, and as well.
As someone who used to travel a lot for work, Shark Tank ABSOLUTELY hits different when you're alone in a hotel room with a large pizza, temporarily imagining you were there on a business trip making similar high risk, savoy decisions and not waking up at the crack of dawn to work outside in the cold and the mud.

Wouldn’t you have to also imagine yourself as the kind of person who would have any number of people killed if it benefited them in anyway? Pretty much any mega rich person is someone that would inflict any amount of harm on any amount of people to advantage themselves, since that’s basically what you do to become rich.

@@randbarrett8706 I mean...no? My previous fleeting fantasies of being inexplicably lifted into the upper class involved me presupposing that I was gonna be "one of the good millionaires" so there's that I guess.

Shark Tank turning sex with your spouse into a prisoner's dilemma is never something I could have imagined, but always knew I needed.

Herjavic is hilarious. He's the handsome nice guy who reveals himself to be a complete shitheel. There's a reason they do that bit in every romantic comedy ever.

It was pretty cool, at the height of anti-Trump sentiments, when Mark Cuban went on a nightly talk show and clarified that he was an actual owner of billions of dollars, and everyone good-humoredly tolerated it, but also were glad that they didn't have to have this experience for more than maybe a minute or two.
Saw Cuban on Jon Stewart recently. He ain't no class traitor. He's an affable evil.
Agree with Matt's dumpling idea
I wanna defend the UK format for a second which is pitched as a business show. It's hosted by the BBC's former Economics Editor and the Dragons don't do hideous things like demanding 51% of the business. (I was genuinely shocked at how fast that happened on the US version.)

It's weird how the British are so proper when it comes to their fiction, but their political candor, actual government debates, and interview television is completely over the top and obnoxious.

Dragon "s Den makes more sense as a metaphor. Since you slay the Dragon and you get the richest. But shark tank I don't know what that means.

Look, I hate US reality TV even more than British reality TV. It's faker, more over the top, annoying, more saccharine. I ~haaaate~ it.

@@nickbooze9766 It's good. Also, this podcast is hosted by Matt's new girlfriend, seriously.
THe fact that Matt et al think that Shark Tank is the first show to be just a commercial in disguise just shows how insidious this genre is. GUys, ever heard of... "game shows"? It's this concept where products... oh wait, shark Tank is a game show. It's actually less offensive than 'The price is right' and other "game shows" ABOUT SHOPPING!
