This is my first exposure to Mato Anomalies and actually....Im kind of impressed. They really look to be pushing the envelope as an indy game with some of their visuals and designs here. This looks to possibly be something special when it releases. Hopefully the time in the oven will bake this game into a tasty treat. Thanks PG! You did a great job with this!

Love how stylized this game looks! The demo definitely looks worth playing, even if it’s just to walk around the downtown area! Great points on the sound cues. The warp stone sound from the Ys series is fixed in my brain, and it would be a shame for this game to lose out on something like that.

it sounds like a real interesting rpg adventure. Loved the looks of the atmosphere and the characters. Can't wait to try this out.

I'd love to see the creators give this just a touch up with a little more uniqueness to each dungeon and a little more shine I guess to the font.

Day one purchase

Yeah it look pretty rough especially with the sound cues and dubbing. I actually kinda like the artstyle, it's a bit grotesque but it adds to the charm and atmosphere. And yeah, it is heavily inspired by Persona 5, but it seems to be going for a more mature theme. Overall it looks ok, I'll try it out the Steam demo if I have time.

I just wish I could clone you over 7 billion times.

Color me interested

I'm not giving money to a CCP controlled developer to make a communist-approved knockoff of Persona, a series I love. Arrowiz is based in Shanghai which means their products have to be directly approved by the government.

There are two things they should remove: Cards and petting animals. I hate both.

Looks like a definite pass for me. I'd rather not waste my time on games that don't break the norm in meaningful ways. Seems like it's just another turn based RPG.

I'll never like that game reviewers also do ads. It just feels sleazy and deceptive, even when you announce it's an ad. People watch you because they trust your opinion so these non critical previews kind of betray that trust. I get it that money is really nice, though.

I understand where you're coming from. That said, this was honest. I said what I did and didn't like. My experience. I didn't kiss this games ass nor did I take a dump on it. Either way, it's fair to not like it. I can't make everyone happy. Nor am I gonna try to.

@@Renteka-Bond I just don't like the idea of sponsored previews. Back in the day we read video game magazines and when there was an unfair review people would always claim that the PR companies were in the pocket of the critics so it's just weird to me that it's so out in the open and independent YTers also dont have editorial management to keep them honest. I realize this is just how game reviewing sites keep going and remain profitable now, I just wish it wasn't that way. I'd much more prefer like a nonendemic advertiser like a VPN or Skillshare where the hobby that the YTer is part of isn't directly related to the thing they are advertising.
