Honestly as long as u know how to do pemdas and know how to find the value for x as well as know how to do exponents u should pass, The English part is just reading a passage and it basically tells u everything it ask for just try and re read and find what the question is asking and you will see the answer in the passage.

19 years ago when i took this test I borrowed a high school math book to refresh since it was a few years since I graduated. The sample test book I had said if youre not sure what a term means or how to do a part of the equation, go back a grade to catch up. 20 mins later I was back in 3rd grade learning how to divide fractions. Pay attention!

TachoSJ it’s a lot of algebraic equations, pemdas, and square roots. The reading part wasn’t that bad, except one passage was about the Doppler effect which was challenging. Just make sure you know how to solve equations and square roots. The test / answers for the problems really try to confuse you so as long as you know how to solve the different algebra problems you should be fine.

@@Jonahflores2800 will you be going into the IBEW, Or non union ? I worked for a non union shop for almost 24 years and can tell you there are pros and cons to both. I was never laid off in the 24 years but the pay wasn’t as much as IBEW, in the last few years working there I was making $100k so you can still make $$. But depending on where you are at if the union doesn’t have a lot of work and you are off more then you work then non union is the way to go. More steady work. If you go non union try and find a company that will put you though a apprenticeship program. I recently took my Philadelphia and Allentown Pa masters tests and passed both, and now hold 3 masters licenses. For the exams you need to know basic math and here in Pa you can right in the code book so I put the basic formulas in the back. Its a great trade to be in and love what I do. @@Jonahflores2800 for the Union I think you will need to take a exam prior to getting in. Most likely the math on this video is probably a part that’s on it. As far as work that all depends on how much work is in the area and how many people are in the local, that have the seniority on you. Another route to look at is the testing field. That’s what I currently do since I left construction. It’s a great field and you can make a lot more then on the construction side. I do a lot of work in substations now, testing transformers, medium and high voltage breakers, cables and other equipment. I know a few guys that have been in the testing field now for years and make over $200k a year. You want to look for a company that is A NETA accredited. LOTS of overtime and work all over the country. My employer right now has 800+ employees and do work everywhere including overseas. There are 4 levels of NETA technicians. NETA 1 is entry level. NETA 2, 3 and 4. If you become a 3 or 4 you will always have work and unlimited opportunities to make a lot of money. Google SF6 breaker, it’s amazing what’s out there and so much to learn.

It’s a little bit of factoring problems that may use the function f(x). Focus on these more and follow algebra 2 concepts and you should be good👍Dont spend too much time on 1 problem because the time flies! Do all the ones you know you can do first and go back to those other problems that you got stuck on

C's and B's thru high school but failed miserably every math class passed 7th grade, 8th grade was as far as math went for me.....

No, it is equal to y, so if divided both sides by 3 you would have y/3. If the whole thing was equal to zero, than you could factor out a 3, divide both sides by 3 and have 3/0 which is still zero.

Hello i need your guy’s help!! recently I’ve been in a huge dilemma because I’m about to graduate from high school and I’ve been accepted to Lineman school which is one year, and I’ve also been accepted into Civil Engineering which is 4 years. Both of these schools are close to each other so distance doesn’t matter. I really need help on which one to choose, I’m taking AP Calculus AB right now in high school and i guess I’m alright at it (B-) but i dont know if i should go into engineering or go into the Lineman school, can you guys give me your feedback?

The only reason I wanted to do Civil Engineering is because everyone was telling me that was one of the easiest fields to go into, and the reason I wanted to be a linemen is because its a great paying job and also lineman school is short. I was doing all of this studying before during summer, never actually needing to take the test before the interview, As a lineman, how often do you actually need to do all of this algebra? I hate random variables and learning to do stuff like this if I don’t understand real life examples and when it’s used. I feel most math is figured out in a more common sense way in your head but add meaningless letters with numbers with no reasoning to where they came from, and you lose me.
