Disclaimer, this is not a tutorial!
Hello, this video shows possible way to make node based smart materials that react to the geometry. All grunges and damage is procedural made inside the software, only object based maps were baked in Blender. You can download Material Maker here www.materialmaker.org/

Thank you for showing this off! Material Maker deserves to be widely known and appreciated! We have never had such an amazing PBR authoring tool that is open-source!
Just curious, how were you able to isolate parts of the mesh for a different look?

I've baked colorID map in blender and used that to make mask for blending between materials. This way is obsolete now as MM nowdays allows to create masks from colorID map for different layers in painting mode, so you don't have to have multiple materials inside one material (I hope it makes sense)

@@pavelolivaart yes, both solutions make sense. Thanks
I tried to do something like this and even with the baked UVs I still don't get the noise textures to wrap around the model in the right way. can you make a breakdown of how you achieve it?

Hello, I am using custom triplanar node to map noises without seams. Here are the project fiels (I hope they still works) mega.nz/file/Np8CBATQ#4olbE3b6On8ca79nKPbuOGwX5dK48GOc23CdlkXwR0Y I am sorry, but I don't want to make a video for that as it was experimental and there are some plans to make the workflow more user friendly ,so many things will change :)

This look awesome
