You challenging a school that is bringing top players in the state if not the nation to play for a better education and program. Before you know it, NIL deals are gonna be hitting high school athletes and that’ll change the game even at this level.

Kind of expected. As good as Mililani is, no way they were going to stay close to Mater Dei. Looking forward to watching the Kahuku, SJB game. Hope it's closer than this one but SJB just looks unstoppable. And later in the season Kahuku plays #3 St. Francis from Maryland. For such a small town public school Kahuku sure doesn't dodge anyone.

I heard people critiquing the Mater dei QB but its his WRs. They are struggling getting separation dropping balls cant get open etc. Also why doesn't MD use their big tight end or freshman WRs studs more? SJB has not played anyone with a pulse and BG now we see is an absolute unit and Cen10 looking nice. They are both far better than anything SJB has played. But MD is going to struggle against SJBs secondaries if their WRs can't get open more...

A team from Tustin HS in the '90's went to Hawaii to play Punaho HS a power house at the time. Tustin HS had 29 penalties called against them 1 against Punaho and Tustin still embarrassed them by over 30 pts!!

Besides, California now can argue the claim of having some of the most talented Polynesian players coming out of their state. Polys out of the mainland are just built different. They consist of constant determination and strong worth ethic… not to mention high GPA’s. Would not matter if Cali schools recruited or not, those Cali players would still go to a high school of their choice within the state, and dominate. 🤷🏻 Cali is too big, and it consists of the best coaching in the country. And that’s on every playing and skill level. They are too far ahead of the game when it comes to structure, process, and coaching. It’s their life… and that’s Cali ball 🏈

This is more like Trinity League vs Oahu. Mililiani also played Mission Viejo and lost by 13 points. Would like to have seen MD vs Austin Westlake (Texas) and keep the SJB vs Kahuku. But, I believe Texas scholastic board prohibits/limits their teams from traveling out of state (someone stated that as the reason we don't see Texas traveling outside their borders). So, they should host a Texas vs. USA matchup.

Mater Dei usually plays their home games at a college field. However, this was a special series of games that was hosted by their league and played at St. John Bosco's field.

MD plays at Santa Ana Stadium. it is a city owned stadium. A few HS's and a JR college team call it home. in the past several teams played their home games in this stadium.

Bosco is ranked higher because they have a lot of returning talent on defense and Mater Dei is mainly underclassmen, you will we see why they're ranked #1 when they play Mater Dei 💯. It will take a lot of good things going in Mater Deis favor for them to win the games this year vs Bosco but it is Mater Dei so never doubt them

95% of High School QBs do not read/go through their progressions... The Mililani QB could have avoided several pics if he went through his dang progressions... He'd rather throw it to his #1 WR that's triple coveraged instead of his #3 WR that has a slow LB covering... That's what sets good high school QBs from the rest.. Being able to go through and read your progression..

False. Have you ever heard of Active Windows? QB does not read progress from 1 to 5 or 5 to 1. It’s a pre snap safety read, and working windows to your available routes that would be more effective vs. a 2H or 1H safety look.

Mater Dei's program used to teach character and sportsmanship along with winning. I guess it's just the winning part, now. They used to help up the other team's players after a play. Now, they taunt them. That mid-play peace sign is what's wrong with sports. Too bad it has trickled down to the high school level.

Mililani is one of the best all-around schools on the island. Being dominant in every sport, band, clubs and academics. What’s crazy is it’s only a public school. Mater dei recruits kids from across the state, with 4-5 Star athletes in every position. Regardless Mililani still did pretty well considering they don’t recruit, they’re just naturally gifted
